Just a heads up for those who I don't see so much in chat - with Clare's departure, I'm retconning Tonks and Remus' relationship. He's the same crotchety if lonelier wolf we know and love, but he's not been seeing Tonks ever.

holaaaa so abditum is opening tonight and while it's not really necessary to make a party post for people who are going, i figured i would share thing so people who might go would have an idea of what's in store.

also shop owners in knockturn would have received a letter letting them know they get half priced drinks and also if they refer people to go (and the shop name is mentioned to an employee) they will get specials.

Hey everyone! It's Joan, not with a new character but a rebooted Boot boy!

Terry Boot has gotten a new face, a different personality, and a new job. He's still an Irish boy who was in Ravenclaw and lived with Lisa Turpin's family after his single mother abandoned him. So he's still got major issues in his history, and he's still a little shy.

BUT the main changes (other than a dapper new PB) is that he's not also the head writer and host for a comedy news program over at WIZROQ. Less Colbert or Stewart, more John Oliver. While on air, Mr. Boot is totally professional and outgoing, but the moment he's off the air he turns back into marshmallow shy boy all over again. Due to his public persona, Terry is 100% totally out of closet. His politics are very liberal.

Terry is also the unknowing half brother to Pip Troy, which I'm sure he'll figure out at some point.

this is xavier ansari! you may know him as a hufflepuff from 87-94: the one who rode his skateboard in the castle and got it taken away. or more likely, you know him as the rhythm guitarist/backup vocalist in quake. he's muggleborn, has two younger sisters, but is the only one in his family with any magic. prior to his career with quake, he worked as a translator in the muggle world.

(Kidding.) No, anyway, he's an Auror, fought during the wizarding war and kicked some major ass. He's a really good guy -- the kind of guy you can talk to about anything and he won't judge you...openly. Unless it's fucked up, then, like, why are you talking to him? Get a counselor, this is weird and not what he's here for??? But he'll totally kick someone's ass for you if you need it. Questionable judgement, we know.
