X-2012 an AU X-Game

Though mutants have only existed for two short years, Charles Xavier believes that humans and mutants can share the planet in a peaceful co-existence. He has opened his home, creating the Xavier Haven for Gifted Individuals, to all mutants who need help or seek to better the world with patience and understanding, using violence as a last resort.
Impatient with the ignorance, fear and hatred of humans towards mutants, Erik Lensherr and his Acolytes broke away from the Haven and formed The Brotherhood of Mutants in order to pursue a dream of their own: Tolerance and acceptance now, not later. Convinced that only action will create change, they struggle to right the many injustices of the world.
Most Wanted: Beast, Dazzler, Deadpool, Fantomex, Forge, Emma Frost, Icarus, Iceman, Magik, Quicksilver, Sasquatch, Surge, Wallflower and you!
Mutants stand divided. Which side will you be on?

WORST GOOD GUYS: a next-gen superhero RPG!

Over two decades ago something extraordinary happened: the world stopped needing to be saved. No death rays, no alien invasions, no rampaging evil robots tearing up NYC. More importantly, people stopped wanting to be saved. Overlooking adults in stretchy pants 'accidentally' destroying public property or leaving criminals beaten to a pulp on the streets didn't seem to be such a great idea after all.

In the United States, lawsuits against caped crusaders surged until the government was finally forced to intervene.

Through the government-funded MRP (Metahuman Rehabilitation Program), thousands of supers were shuffled into early retirement and hidden in witness protection programs. Armed with desk jobs and civilian identities, these aging heroes raised the next generation with the intention of building ordinary, anonymous lives for their children. Or as ordinary as some could ever hope for.

The year is 2035, and the age of superheroes is far from over.

[info]worstgoodguys is a next-gen, comic book-based game set in a world where superhumans are no longer welcome and the children of heroes (and villains) are trying to do the seemingly impossible: be themselves.

OPENS AT 5 CHARACTERS.

Marvel, DC, and many more comics welcome!

Forgotten Gods

"Immortals are what you wanted," said Thor in a low, quiet voice. "Immortals are what you got. It is a little hard on us. You wanted us to be for ever, so we are for ever. Then you forget about us. But we are still for ever. Now at last, many are dead, many are dying," he then added in a quiet voice, "but it takes a special effort."

-- Douglas Adams

Forgotten Gods follows the deities of ancient mythologies, brought to America long ago by explorers or immigrants from their homelands and eventually abandoned or lost from memory. As their worshippers have moved on to new religions, the gods' powers have waned -- for a god, at its most pure essence, is no more than an idea, and an idea is worthless if there is nobody to believe in it. Some have passed, forgotten, from the world, while others have fallen into madness. Some have simply tried to adapt, to make a life for themselves in this place without gods, getting by on what little scraps of worship and belief they can garner. Others are more radical, intent on regaining the power that was once theirs and reviving their followings.

And then there are the New Gods. Gods of cars and computers, television and radio, cities and highways, all those things that modern Americans put their faith in. They are young, at the height of their power. These newcomers are regarded dismissively by some of the old ones, who have seen so many new deities rise and fall in their time; jealously by others, who wish to reclaim the power for their own; and by all with a deep, abiding wariness.

Inspired by the world of Neil Gaiman's American Gods, this game invites players to step into the roles of deities, old and new, to create their own modern mythology.

At the Gates

You think you know London, its streets and alleys like the creases of your palm. You don't know all its secrets. In its depths are places to buy amulets and tarot readings, a talisman that permits the wearer to manipulate luck hangs alongside bottles of herbs and demon's blood. Books so ancient the pages are tissue-thin jostle against postcards of buses and telephone boxes. There are bars where the clientele don't just find the dim light flattering, but downright necessary, and the smell of brimstone lingers in the nostrils. There are corners and recesses where magic isn't trickery or sleight of hand, but blood and bone and flesh and you might -- you might -- catch sight of feathers pure as snow and light, if you know where to go. If you know how to see. There's a pitched battle being fought for this other London and your London besides -- one in which every human in existence is being counted in a gamble for souls, Heaven and Hell trying to tip the scales and grave-faced Librarians holding them steady. And all the time, people go about their lives with a little pinch of something extra in a London you'll never see.
