The year is 1980 and Albus Dumbledore is dead. While the nation reels from the Headmaster's mysterious demise, propaganda and guerilla violence flourish. Having ridden the coattails of this aura of fear, Bartemius Crouch, Sr. has risen to power, widely supported and completely unchecked; slowly he has transformed the Ministry of Magic into an Orwellian regime. Now nothing but a Dark Lord with approval ratings, Crouch's fanatical pursuit of order tightens his choke hold on Britain. While innocent dissidents rot in Azkaban, Death Eaters roam free - untouchable due to their wealth and status, they feed back into the public's terror and ultimately maintain the Ministry's dictatorship. The only resistance to this madness is the Order of the Phoenix. Once an organization dedicated to spreading unfiltered knowledge and duelling only when necessary, under Alastor Moody's new leadership the Order is becoming progressively more militant, combating both Voldemort and their own government in an attempt to finally restore peace.

This is an AU Marauders-era RPG with an emphasis on plot, politics and war. It follows the characters on every side of the struggle - their failures, their successes, their stories and their endings as they fight and die to uphold their own ideals.

Apartments For Rent
VACANT. A woman formerly of exceptional connections and resources, Miss Havisham was left at the altar and has since become embittered and (some say) slightly dotty. She has a Must-Have store of money, enough to hire the annoyingly determined Lucy Westenra, but she certainly doesn't live in any of the top apartments. She hopes to make Lucy Westenra successful in the art of breaking hearts, but that might be more difficult than she imagines.


VACANT. The Pied Piper has had a gift for music since birth. As a teenager, he ran away from a perfectly normal (read: boring) home, and he found danger and excitement in the form of fellow teen, Rumpelstiltskin. Now an adult, he’s perpetually under the thumb of the man, and the fact that Rumpelstiltskin can grant his every wish has everything to do with it. As for The Little Match Girl, he’s not impressed by her skills, so she can just stop trying to get his attention.

Premise:
There is an apartment building in New York called 'Bellum Letale.' Most people ignore its auspicious name, though they would be advised to pay more attention to its meaning.

It is a strange building.

Every man, woman and child in the building is a reincarnated fable, the stories told to human children for hundreds, sometimes thousands of years. Once very real, the fables began to fade as science and reason dispelled the probability of their existence. They have all been reborn in human forms, though their essence remains, waiting to be awakened at the right time, in the right place.

Now is the time - Bellum Letale is the place. As their lives connect and weave together, as they follow their petty desires and long-held grudges, they are, all of them, on the brink of disaster. Their Landlord knows their every move, and the building they live in seems to have an agenda of its own. People are tortured, people die, people plot behind each other's backs and sneak around and cheat. They love, they fight, they draw blood. This is not the fairy tale you remember being told.

The date is September 1st, 2000. It's the start of the third school year since the Battle of Hogwarts in the spring of 1998. Some of the Hogwarts staff have quit, some have retired, and others are no longer with us. Under the supervision of Headmistress McGonagall, an all-new staff has been hired, bringing a stream of young blood through the corridors of the ancient castle.

New classes are being offered for the first time in hundreds of years. These students are excited to be the first in a new era of wizardry - an era no longer threatened by the dark arts or a power-hungry Dark Lord.

Despite restoration and progress, there is a new threat on the horizon. Modern muggle warfare has reached an unpredictable peak. Over the summer of 2000, Durmstrang Institute was destroyed by muggle aircraft, having been magically unseen to the pilots. While the school is rebuilt, the student body of Durmstrang will be sorted into houses at Hogwarts School. These students have been taught to embrace the dark arts and uphold old wizarding traditions (such as not intermarrying with non-purebloods). The fresh new staff and both groups of students will take some time to adjust. Furthermore, the rest of wizarding England has experienced an influx of dark wizards as well (the families and teachers of the Durmstrang student body).

This game will focus on Hogwarts' young new staff and how they deal with a flood of adolescent supporters of the dark arts. At all costs, any suspicious or uniquely powerful students must be supervised thoroughly. No one amongst the Ministry, Hogwarts or the Order of the Phoenix is willing to allow another rise to power by a sinister outcast.
