The incident at the pool had Kara pissed. Seriously - going up to practically a stranger and all but demanding to be heard on a subject that, quite frankly, was no one's business? If the kid wanted to confront someone, how about Joy, or someone actually spreading the rumors. Kara was doing her best to stay out of the whole thing completely. And if anyone would actually think they had something to say about it it could, in theory, be Kara considering she was seeing Niles.

But unlike a certain nineteen year old (and a good portion of the Manor) she was an adult and gossip and cat fights were not her cup of tea. However she was going to make sure, hopefully, that that didn't happen again. She dialed Niles's phone and when she got his voicemail left a message.

"Niles, it's Kara. I had a rather interesting attempt at a conversation with Emma at the pool. Apparently she's bound and determined to talk to whoever will listen about your little 'arrangement' whether we want to be in the discussion or not. You might want to let her know she's not helping your reputation or hers by doing so."

EVale: Got a call today re: security clearance requests from service providers. Sounded fishy to me. All cable/phone providers on my list have already been approved. Know anything about this company, SERVICE CHEK -- claim they're a third party service to make sure ALL maintenance, etc. gets clearance.

If he'd had a mind for that sort of thing, Riley probably would have written down the recent events and proposed them to the writers as a new story line on the show. Seriously, drama this good didn't just fall into your lap every day...but, it rolled in one ear and out the other as he sat by a window and argued with his phone.

"Oh, come on, Mark, can't you get me out of it? You know I hate those things."

Charlie had worked in the morning and now it was daddy time, so he was indulging in the time-honoured occupation of lounging on the lawn and letting his offspring pile stuff on him.

They had drinks, Nia was slavered in sun-block and was wearing a very fetching hat and all was right with the world.

With Brian in the middle of his chest he chatted to Chester on his almost new iPhone, it still had the plastic film on the screen, and watched Nia chatting to her penguin as she tried to balance it on his stomach.

"So no ... no .. no announcements ... no we certainly don't want a banner and streamers!" He gave a shout of laughter. "If Maurice jumps out of a cake D would make him eat it - all! Hah, no nice try. It's all under control - I think. Oh hang on Chester, someone's coming. Talk to you again ... yeah byee."
