It was left in her apartment, on the table, with his crisp and precise hand writing.

We need to talk.

Logan and Chad, Monday afternoon

Today had been a normal day for Logan. He'd woken up to his dad already off to work, gotten to school on time, and hadn't missed or skipped any classes. So it wasn't usual for him to be walking away from school and have a squad car pull up behind him. Logan stopped walking when the horn beeped and the car stopped. Looking back curiously, he realized it was his dad and grinned as he opened the passenger side door.

"Hey, Dad! What's the occasion?" He asked with his grin still in tact as he slid into the car while other students watched, confused.

"You tell me." Chad said grinning back as he flipped on the lights and took off after Logan had buckled and closed his door. "I got someplace to stop off before we go home, that okay?" He asked, as if Logan had a choice at this point.

Roxy, in the laundry room, Monday evening, OTA/MW

Roxy had been scarce since Spencer left. She'd felt bad about not having time off to go with him, but he'd told her it was a business thing. At first. That made her feel less bad about not going. Then when she'd learned it was a family thing, she'd all but begged for time off.

Now that she realized just how long Spencer had been gone, she was somewhat grateful she hadn't gone. Somebody had to look after Indigo and the apartment, after all. She just wished the nightmares she'd had lately would leave her be. Such was why she'd avoided the laundry room at all costs until otherwise necessary. Dressed in dark blue sweats, a gray tank top and a blue hoodie, with ear buds tucked in and her hands around a cup of coffee she tried not to think of anything other than the clothes going around in the machines.

She was leaning on the desk and wheedling at the person behind it. There was a little transport cage made of plastic beside her on the floor.

"Really, I need to pick him up, asleep or alive!" she said. "I've come all the way from Boulder to hand-deliver these little stinkers to that lady in Pikestaff, and he's to drive me there. And he's really not answering his phone, I have to pester him in person!"

She tapped her boot against the little cage. "Cute as buttons, but they're going to get impatient soon."

The door of the cage sprang open, and three little bundles of fur jumped out and ran, yipping, into the open Mocha door.
