They'd found it at one of the little shops in the Square and had just looked at each other. No words had been spoke, they hadn't needed to. The item had simply been bought, wrapped up nicely and was now being carried by Charlie as they made their way up to Desler's flat.

It was the perfect present really. Like it had been made for her. Damn, Deacon wished he had a camera with him to record the moment. It was going to be good.

Thanks for the heads up that you intend to return to work. If you could start at the usual time on Saturday I would be very grateful.

Wednesday I had already arranged for Colette to work from 8.30 to noon, but would be very pleased if you could do the noon to five stint. This might extend to the full day later if the course Colette is doing extends, as she has been warned it might. For the moment five hours is the best I can manage I'm afraid.

A pile of interior design magazines, the exact same ones that he had borrowed to Emily some time ago. There were small post it notes marking some pages here and there, but on top of the pile was a handwritten note.

Thanks for borrowing these magazines, they were so lovely I was contemplating keeping them all to myself! I got some more refined ideas now, and I marked some pages in the magazines that I liked.
