Morningstar Manor

Jane was again staring at an envelope, it had the same solicitors postage marks on it, but had come registered mail. She wasn't sure she should open it, but this one had, she hoped, a cheque in it. Absently she picked up her hot chocolate and sipped at it, then set it back down on the table. She was also rather bored, having read all the books she'd treated herself to, and listened to all the CD's on the new little stereo she'd bought. It was nice to have a digital radio though, her favourite stations sounded so much clearer now.

She picked up the chocolate again and took another sip, before setting the envelope down on the table and looking round, the place seemed to fill up around now as everyone came home from work. She smiled a little shyly at some of her clients, before concentrating more on her drink. Really she had to wonder if a little company wouldn't go amiss, someone to talk to perhaps.... now was when she regretted not having many friends. There was no-one to call, no-one to go and see, and she actually felt very alone in the somewhat crowded coffee shop. A shadow fell across the table, and she looked up, a little startled, "Um, hello?"

Partying tonight, loves, cuz it's our wedding anniversary [don't ask how many cuz it makes me feel SO old] and himself is cooking something fantastic to which I must pay proper attention.
