[Fire festival...

There were no festivals in Tokyo-3. The simple task of staying alive was enough to fill every second, and once the Angel attacks began, no one knew when it was safe to be outside and when a state of emergency might be called without warning. Still, she misses Tokyo-3 sometimes. At least everything there was familiar. She feels she's dealt well with all the changes, but that doesn't mean she's always appreciated them.

Currently, she's sitting by the bonfire, watching the flames lick their way higher and higher as though reaching for the top of the dome. She's got a lot on her mind, which is one of the changes about this place that she doesn't appreciate - she never had anything on her mind in Tokyo-3 but work and survival. A simple, cyclic pattern of days occasionally broken by moments of extreme stress, rather than this constant low-grade gnawing at her thoughts. Which is better?

Which is more human?

She curls her knees to her chest and continues to watch the bonfire, the firelight turning her pale skin almost bronze and causing her red eyes to flicker strangely. A festival. Another first.]

Ken Murata
[ Standing outside the ramen shop, waiting for Shibuya, Murata watches the other inmates -- mostly familiar faces -- go about their business or enjoy the festivities Acumen has set out. All in all, it's not such a bad place; he doesn't mind considering that every so often. ]
Location: Ramen Shop, Sector 5 / Noon

Marina Asylum Denizens
[The bonfire going in Sector 6 is guarded by sentinels, but the area is decorated with orange and blue tents and laid out with good food, many of it toasted or hot. The flames are enchanted and cool, and they get extinguished if they're taken outside the boundaries of the little camp, but there is actually have a rich, spicy alcoholic beverage being served there, so try to have fun with that instead. (No, it will not make you breathe fire.)

[The bleachers and benches here offer the best view of the fireworks just starting to go off as the sky darkens...]

((posted slightly early, but hey, starting Friday we're going to have monsters, SO, if you don't plan to play with the monsters -- or if you do -- have some fun here! post a comment, and then comment amongst yourselves~))

Sakura-chan! Sakura-chan!

[You can just about hear the happiness and smile on his face]

I finished your AT~ [Did not stay up all night last night, nope] They might need a little adjustment since I wasn't too sure how big they needed to be, but other than that they're ready~

MOMO Mizrahi
[MOMO's never been to a big festival before. She's been out in towns and to parties, but nothing on a city-wide scale like this could be considered. Happily, she wanders about, admiring the decorations and other things related to the event. She comes on the bonfire and stares at it in wonder. It's so big!]

[OOC: And MOMO apparently still doesn't have a tag? Fixed! Thanks!]

Ummmm...if this is the midsummer festival, that means it's almost July here, right? So do we have any plans for Suzaku and Shirley's birthdays? They're close, so we could combine them, but it might be harder to keep everything a secret if we let them work on parts for each other.

Is there anyone else you can think of who would like to help us or who we should invite?

((ooc note: backdated to sometime before lunch; open to action tags from housemates if preferred~))

Jalyt-Ket-Hur
[Jalyt is spending pretty much the whole day in sector 4's gardens. She's got her plants and saplings to tend to, Ammy's tree to gawk at, plants in the regular gardens to investigate (and likely pilfer for her own use).... Gotta work on those gardening skills! She carries on with her work, whistling cheerfully and not caring where stray dirt ends up.]

[[OOC: Feel free to talk to her in any garden in sector 4. If she's not watering or weeding her own plot, she's pilfering plants from others. :Db Tags will be slow, at least for tonight.]

[Reid and Chuck are enjoying themselves! Somehow at the bonfire someone's communicator got turned on. There's idle nerdy chatter until Chuck says a key phrase. Chuck = red Reid = blue Together = purple. This will be fun.]

Yeah, and Immanuel Kant was a real pissant.
Who was very rarely stable [Giggle! Sips at his drink. And then properly singing.]
Heidegger, Heidegger was a boozy beggar
Who could think you under the table
David Hume could out-consume
Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel
And Wittgenstein was a beery swine
Who was just as schloshed as Schlegel

There's nothing Nietzsche couldn't teach ya
'Bout the raising of the wrist

Socrates himself was permanently pissed

[They hop up on their table!]
John Stuart Mill, of his own free will
With half a pint of shandy got particularly ill
Plato, they say, could stick it away
Half a crate of whiskey every day

Aristotle, Aristotle was a bugger for the bottle
Hobbes was fond of his dram
And Rene Descartes was a drunken fart
"I drink therefore I am"

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessss, Socrates himself is particularly misse
d
A lovely little thinker but a bugger when he's pissed
[And they descend into drunken laughter.]
