327 - Flood Event Mingle
[ Perhaps you're a really strong swimmer. Perhaps you've found a canoe to paddle around in, unhooked a door to recreate the ending of Titanic. Perhaps breathing isn't a necessity for you. Perhaps you're already doomed to drown. Whichever your situation, there's one thing for certain.

The rain isn't stopping. ]

Oh... hey. Look at that.

[She grabbed and ear flap, waited for Lyle to grab the other, and then lifted the Haro out of the water at the same time.

That helped a lot.]

[Lyle reaches out and grabs the other earflap, helping to pull Frederick out of the water and put him in the boat. Almost like a wet dog, the haro flapped as though trying to get rid of water]

Nice fishing.

Yeah... that worked pretty well, actually.

[She managed a small chuckle.]

Better than leaving him out here, right?

Yeah it did.

Definitely better than leaving him out there. Who knows where he would float to if he wasn't here.

Kind of makes me glad I don't have a pet to worry about, too, in all of this crazy water.

Yeah. I don't know how they are dealing with this. These guys float and they are robots anyway. Animals aren't quite as durable.

Yeah. [She nodded.]

It's kind of rough to think about.

[And probably better not to.]

Do you have another oar or something? I can help paddle, at least.

[Yeah, better to ignore that depressing train of thought there...]

Yes I do. It would make it easier to get anywhere that way.

[And he produces as makeshift paddle. It will work in a pinch, but it wasn't an actual paddle]

End here?

[She smiled a bit.]

That works.

[Taking the "paddle" in hand, she started helping him get them to the island. It was better than sitting in the boat feeling sorry for herself, that was for sure.]
