I'm fine. A little lightheaded, but I suppose I've been overdoing it a little. Nothing I can't handle.

Is there anything I can do to help you here? I'm not much of a mechanic, but I've done plenty of repairs before and follow instructions well. [ and sitting by idly, waiting for something to happen, just wasn't her style. ]

You're more of a mechanic than I am, that's for sure. [ Which is the cause of his annoyance. Out of everything she could've put him on, this is the thing he's the least suited for. They have plenty of people that are more adept at tech, at building things, at solving urgent problems of this very nature than he is. ]

It's not that complicated. All we need is a shelter that allows the water to run off the edge rather than gather at the island. I doubt we'll be able to get all that dry, but it's something at least.

[ if only leia knew how to infuse people with emotion like luke had done to han on bakura, (nevermind the nerfherder's protests) she'd try to make him feel some that hope. but she can't. she's not luke. she doesn't know what she's doing, and is still vastly unsure as to whether she wants to do it or not. she's a skywalker, but she didn't ask for anakin's legacy. it's not a mantle she has to take up. ]

I'll see what I can find. [ and she's wandering off to do just that, returning not long after with pieces of lumber that detached from buildings that she fished out of the water. ]

That's great. I figured our best bet would be to make many smaller rafts tied together somehow. Quicker to make than one big thing and if something goes bad, we can always cut them loose.

That's a good idea. [ she sets down what she'd gathered next to him. ] There's some more that I'm going to go back for.

[ and she does. it takes her maybe four separate trips to gather it all, but she does it without complaint or asking for assistance. a princess she may be, but she's more than capable of holding her own and not letting that silver spoon make it okay for someone to give her a free pass. ]

I think that's it. [ she sits down next to the pile she's made, needing to catch her breath. her head still hurts, but the pounding is more of an annoyance than it is a hindrance. ]
