[ Despite all the rain and misery, Spike's done well enough so far. He doesn't have much to worry about, being a decent swimmer and also not needing any of that pesky air. It helps, really. Even now when he's hanging out on a rooftop and his cigarettes are too wet to smoke.

That splash is difficult to miss even with the deafening downpour, as is the mop of wet hair just barely breaking the surface. There's a beat of hesitation, a muffled curse under his breath and then he goes in the drink. Kitty must never find out that he's out fishing, like she told him to. ]

[ If there's a way to be both huffy and indignant while also swimming to save someone from sinking like a rock, then he's found it. He catches up easily enough, arm hooking around Nico's chest. A few strong kicks and then they're at the surface. He changes his hold on Nico, grabbing him under the arms and lifting him well out of the water. ]

	[It's more spluttering and coughing in the beginning, but he manages to pull in some deep breathes once that passes.
