He's also a guy who Rescues People when he can, so throughout the downpour he'll relentlessly comb the street for stragglers or fish unfortunates out of the water. [She's not sitting on dispatch today so she's got more mobility. And she's not about to go sit up on speaker island anytime soon, not until she knows everyone else's got priority. The water was only up to her shins when she started walking, but it's gotten to her thighs quicker than she thought it would. It's about then that the current of it really starts to be felt and she realizes higher, safer ground out to be sought. But - well - she's almost done looting the convenience store for a few items that she puts it off just a bit longer. Because how's she to know this isn't going to stop any time soon and that a backpack full of goods will more than likely go to waste?

She left the doors propped open to keep herself from being sealed in, anyway. It can't be all that bad.]

[The voice startles her. She's not sure why, exactly, but it's been a hell of a lot of silence the last hour or so on her end and she figured most if not everyone was heading up under instruction. It takes a minute to realize it sounds like Aidan as well, and she looks toward the darkened door and flashes her flashlight that way.]

Aidan? It's - me, Rebecca. [The water makes it echo a bit and she zips up her bag, turning to slosh back toward the door. Damn, the water's a little difficult to move in and so that sloshing is slow.]

She's in a brief period of hesitation whether to start pulling things out of it again or give up.
