Day 221 — Morning mingle : Main shelter
[Wake up and smell the lack of coffee. You're on a bunk bed. Maybe you're a top and maybe you're a bottom. There are five other people in your room. Maybe they're friends or enemies or faces you barely recognize if at all. It doesn't matter much. You can leave this room and you don't need to come back to it.

You should get your rations though. You're probably hungry. You're definitely a little sluggish of body. What happened to that bruise you got sparing yesterday? What happened to your newly dyed hair? Mystery, mystery... Move along. Find the public bathrooms and do your business with a hundred of your closest friends.

Find the kiosk and get your rations. Careful not to let anyone steal them. You won't get more until tomorrow and the bots won't care. They aren't here to hold your hand. If you get sick or hurt and they deem it necessary they will take you to the hospital whether you wish it or not. But why dwell on such things? You're here now and you might as well enjoy it. You even get a free day today.]

[ helen wakes up definitely not where she was. unlike some, she doesn't immediately sit up or gasp or yell. she is trying to figure out where she is and how she got there -- and if there's any great threat to her if she decides to get up. so she listens for a while, her eyes shut to give the semblance of sleep before she slowly opens them and lets her eyes take in everything she can see from her bottom bunk vantage point.

nothing too dangerous seems to be here, but it's definitely not the bed she'd spent a night in earlier.

a few minutes pass before she finally sits up -- she'll just ignore the change of clothes again as she looks around. definitely a bottom bunk and definitely not where she wants to be. she doesn't call out, simply looking around the room for anyone she knows or anything that might be a threat.

later, she can be found wandering. no, she hasn't stood in line for rations. yes, she might need to be shoved there. it's not that she doesn't trust it. okay, it's that, too. but she figures she's had it easy compared to a lot of other people. let them go first while she figures out as much about this place as she can. so she's going to wander, eyes sharp as she looks for the few people she's actually met and a certain vampire she wants to keep track of. ]

That's certainly a good sign. [ she's being entirely sarcastic, even if her voice hasn't changed much. ] The only thing left to do is see what can be seen. How much time are we going to have at all and what are the expectations--

The announcement I heard mentioned mandatory activities not being required today. I can only imagine what that means for tomorrow.
