Twenty-two years and four months ago (give or take a day), Harry Potter defeated the Dark Lord. In the years leading up to that fateful day, he and his friends had to grow up too quickly and miss out on some that Hogwarts has to offer, so they could focus on more important things, like saving the entire Wizarding World.

Thanks to their heroic actions, the children of Harry, his friends, his enemies, and the people he passed once or twice in the corridors can all go to Hogwarts and grow up on schedule. Without having to sneak out of the Castle to go hunt Horcruxes, the Potters and Weasleys of today (along with the Macmillans, the Smiths, the Whisps, and everybody else) can instead spend their time on more age-appropriate pursuits, like getting pissed out of their minds on contraband firewhiskey.

Posteritas is a game focused on character relationships and development instead of an overarching plot, in which your characters will have a typical Hogwarts experience (if there is such a thing). There will be Quidditch matches, trips to Hogsmeade, and surely some good-old fashioned pranks, but the students in school on September 1, 2022 don't have to worry about Death Eaters, dementors, or the dark mark. If you're looking to play an ordinary (or not-so-ordinary) magical teenager with a Hogwarts life made exciting by their peers instead of the outside world, this is the game for you.

Dark Forces are growing stronger by the day and hope is dwindling. The Order of the Phoenix is doing everything within its power to keep Voldemort and his Death Eaters at bay, but they are outnumbered. Many have died so far and the numbers are expected to grow, for there is no end in sight. There is no salvation upon the horizon.

Or is there? A Prophesy has been made by a young Seer, citing that the Dark Lord can be defeated by a young child, born at the fall of the seventh month, to parents who have thrice defied Lord Voldemort. The child will have powers that the Dark Lord knows not, yet neither will live while the other survives. Though the Seer cannot be certain as to who survives, the fate of the wizarding, nevertheless, rests upon the shoulders of this one child.

Apareo is set in 1981 and will span through that fateful Halloween night, when Voldemort arrives at Godric's Hollow with sole intention of killing Harry Potter. Who will succeed and who will die? Will we follow the canon that is already penned or will the books be rewritten? That, dear writer, will be based upon your choices and your character's actions.

Life As You Know It is a Harry Potter RPG set in 2005. The focus of the game will be character and world building, and once we have a dynamic, rich environment we'll add in some game-wide plot. The plot will be both mod and player created and run, and once we have a good foundation going, we'll have an open discussion to see where we go from here. (Some initial ideas are a virus, a rogue werewolf pack or a serial killer. These are not set in stone, and we would not do all of them. It will be up to the players to decide which direction will be most interesting for the game.)

Life As You Know It will be a thread-based game (no linked journals or AIM rp) and will open August 9th, 2010. We'll character and world build for about a month, and then start off the game-wide plot after everyone has a good grasp on a character. If you've ever wanted to try a character out before diving into a detailed plot, or have a hand in creating said detailed plot, this is the place for you. We're looking for complex, multi-faceted characters who will add something extra to the game. Please send questions to lifemods@gmail.com.

 Tom Riddle was never supposed to be born.

He is a rip in the fabric of time, and fate has a funny way of making sure she isn't compromised.

In that place between life and death, those who die because he lived are given a choice: continue into the unknown of the afterlife, or journey back to the time before their death with the full knowledge of what will happen.

Not everyone chooses to go back, but in July 1997, as Harry Potter turns seventeen and the battle between good and evil heats up in the wizarding world, more and more try to change their fate. They find themselves alive and in the same place they were months before they died, and they have a chance not just to save themselves, but to save the wizarding world as well.

There's just one catch: they can't tell anyone.

The students of Salem Academy have had a rough year. Gossip, rumors, dances, hook-ups and break-ups: those are all expected during high school. But at a school for witches and wizards, in one of the most historically magical towns in America, life is even more difficult. Especially now that the existence of magic has been revealed to Muggles by renegades.

Graduation has come and gone, but the seniors aren't going anywhere. The Bureau of Magic needs them to protect the school from outside forces. Some call it volunteer service, some call it a draft. Some call it an opportunity, some call it oppression. One way or another, the new school year's going to be nothing if not unexpected.
