[Sat Oct 2010 @ 10:52pm] posteritasmods Hello everyone; Leah and Lily here tonight with some sad news that's probably a long time coming. We're sure you all know that the activity at Posteritas has been dropping in recent weeks, and that that is partially due to our own busy schedules and lack of time to keep you all inspired. What we're trying to say is, we think that it's time to close the game. If anyone is interested in taking the reins and trying to reboot the game, please, let us know and we can talk. Otherwise, it was wonderful to play with you all, you're all extremely talented writers, and we hope to get a chance to interact some time in the future. post comment

[Sat Sep 2010 @ 9:03pm] posteritasmods Heeeey everybody! Lily here, giving you a little bit of a heads up on Monday's daily event. It hasn't gone up yet, obviously, since it isn't Monday, but this is giving you time to prepare. All of the journals have been hit with a truth compulsion hex. What that means is hell for your characters that if a character picks up their journal on Monday, they'll be compelled to write the truth in it. They won't just strike it out, either--if they start to, they'll think "No, this needs to be said," and leave it. Of course, they might freak out when they set their journal down, but as soon as they pick it up again to cross things out, the hex will take effect. It applies to comments written in other's journals as well. Now, if you don't want this to affect your character, it's simple--don't have them journal on Monday. If they do, well...chaos will reign! Bow down to the Prince of Hogwarts [Fri Sep 2010 @ 7:47am] dominicthegreat MAGGIE HERE! (hellz yeah!) This here is Dominic Skeeter, pretty boy and Prince of the world (in his eyes anyway, and in his Blurb!) He's your average playboy who likes to buy pretty things for his flavor of the week. He's shallow, pretty, and pretty. Did I mention he was pretty? His mother is Rita Skeeter (ew, how did she have a kid?) and his father is a man named Alexander Rookwood, cousin of Augustus Rookwood the DE. Let's just say Alexander got a little drunk and blah, and here comes Dom. He tried to stay with Rita for a while, but decided she was horrible and left her, but not before a terrible fight that ended with his family promising her as much money as she needed. The Rookwoods own some big ass company that does dirty back-door business that makes a crap ton of money, so that's why he is so spoiled. He is the first in line to inherit the family business and he'll make sure everybody knows that. He likes to flaunt his money like it's no big thing. He has a half-sister who attends Beauxbatons (it's her first year, so cute!) She is one of the few people in like he loves more than anything else because her real mom died when she was really young, though not many people know she exists. He has a pretty interesting history (No lie, I was amused while writing it) so I suggest you check it out. He's just getting over a fall out with his mama and she's trying to make everything up to him by constantly buying his love, so that is just what he knows in life. He usually doesn't like fights, and if he does get himself into one, he tends to find someone else to fight his battles. He's also not the greatest with quick wit, but enjoys planting these little ideas in your head that make you question yourself even though you know whatever he said was complete bullshit. Okay, well that's all I really feel like saying right now. Please feel free to read all about him to get a better understanding. He needs the usual, friends, enemies, girls he can dazzle, boyfriends who hate him, and one specific girl who catches his eye. Because while he loves to spoil and wine and dine ladies, he needs one who keeps him down to earth and doesn't put up with his shit. If he found one of those, he would probably actually have a legit girlfriend. That is also in his personality so if you're interested, look that up mayne. Anywho, That is Dom. [Mon Aug 2010 @ 8:14pm] averyclevergirl Introducing...Nora Avery version 3.0: Bitchier, Egomaniacal-er, and with Seamless Organization of All Your Media Files. Okay, not the last one. Nora is a sixth-year Ravenclaw and The Elitist, so she thinks she's better than just about everyone else, particularly when it comes to intellect and wit. She idolizes her brother Oliver - even when she's cheeky with him, it comes from a place of affection. There are two sides to Nora, and whether your characters like her will depend on if they've caught on to what a terrible human being she actually is. But as they say, the great failing of genius is that it needs an audience. Nora is pretty charming, and she "puts up with" most people so that she has them around to notice just how clever she is! This year, she's going through something very, very inwarldy trying: her attraction to a Mister Jack Macmillan. She hasn't shared it yet, because she's utterly, utterly appalled, and is hoping like mad that it will just go away. Unfortunately for her, it won't anytime soon. So! [Sat Aug 2010 @ 1:21am] comebackjack POSTERITAS. I'm really happy for you and I'mma let you finish, but the Triwizard Tournament had one of the best balls of all time. Of all time. Anywho. The Post Makeover. You know how every once in a while in a movie there's a character who takes off their glasses and fixes their hair and all of a sudden they're a bombshell? Yeah, Jack's that girl guy. Well. Finally finishing puberty over the summer helped too, as did developing a tiny - and I do mean tiny - bit more self confidence. He's still an awkward, awkward little dude on the inside, but can manage to be suave~ if need be. Before his suddenly becoming attractive, he was bullied by everyone and their mom. He was locked in broom closets, strung up by his shoelaces in odd places, you name it. Being fairly small and easy to target probably didn't help his cause. Sooner or later he got used to it, but that didn't stop anyone. I'm thinking a good majority of the males who used to pick on him like him even less now because of his sudden popularity with the ladies~ So, if you want anyone to continue being a jerk to him, please do. Other than that, he needs his horde of admirers. Feel free to check his application which I'm too lazy to link to for more! Edit: Also this is Jack Macmillan which I apparently failed to mention. Her foot gets stuck and it seems all hope is lost. Enter Cian Dolohov. It’s up to Cian whether or not to help the Slytherin sixth year or to simply pass by and leave Nicole stuck. »A spell gone wrong in Defence Against the Dark Arts has landed both Nina Dawlish and Graham Elkins in detention. Neither are happy with this (for obvious reasons), but what happens whilst both are polishing in the Trophy Room (without magic!) is up to Nina and Graham. »With the upcoming masquerade ball, dance fever has spread throughout the school. One major problem? Zachary Umbridge doesn’t know how to dance! Gabriel Zeller spots him trying to practice and it’s up to the Hufflepuff whether or not he wants to lend a helping hand and some words of advice or simply stand by and laugh. »Peeves is being particularly devious lately. After class, he swoops down and steals the bag of Ashley Twist and scarpers. After pursuing the poltergeist, Ashley finds her bag hanging from the neck of a rather tall statue. As her wand is in her bag, she has no means to retrieve it. [Thu Aug 2010 @ 8:10am] staysteddie Hey, guys! It's Kari, Kelsey's mun! I decided to bring in another character. Meet Eddie Bletchley! He's a seventh year Ravenclaw with enough charm and wit to wrap people around his finger and to wriggle his way out of any mess he gets himself into. He's popular and able to befriend people from all different ends of the social spectrum while maintaining neutrality. This, you see, is a benefit of the social judo he has mastered - he knows what strings to pull, when to pull them, and just the right thing to say. It's easy to take his silly behavior and write him off as an imbecile, but this is actually far from the truth. The easiest hint of this? Well, dude is in Ravenclaw! He's a fun guy to be around, through and through, though a few of you guys may dislike it when he gets within five feet of your girlfriends. He's a social wizard in most scenarios, but Eddie is also quite conceited and taken with himself. So, yeah. xD Please, please, please read his application! Anyway, I'm looking for friends, best friends, ex girlfriends, enemies, whatever! If you read his application, you'll see that he has had sex with three girls and I'm looking for those three. Contrary to how it may come off, Eddie isn't actually a manwhore. xD He flirts by default, but he wouldn't actually dive down the pants of every chick in Hogwarts. I'd like for two of the girls that he has slept with to actually be exes and one of them, perhaps, can be one of those drunken party one night things over the summer. As for friends, like I said, Eddie can be friends with practically anyone. He's a master when it comes to molding himself just the right way to find common ground with anyone. We just moved the computer to our new house (which is where I'm typing this from now :D) and it took us a little bit to get things together because I had to shampoo the carpets. But yeah, I'm still here! Gonna be a little bit busy the next week, but I'll be around as often as I can be in between things. We plan to start sleeping here on Wednesday night, so that'll help tremendously! Anyway, shoot me an email or whatever!
