It’s been thirty years since the war ended and Harry, Ron and Neville have locked up as many Death Eaters as they could find by command of Kingsley Shacklebolt. The Minister of Magic is still getting a lot of flak from the Muggle Prime Ministers about the war and how many innocent muggles were lost; the bottom line is they don’t want it to happen again. They want their people to be better protected against threats from the Wizarding community so they gave Minister Shacklebolt an ultimatum, come out to the muggle community of your own will or we’ll out you ourselves.

After talking it over with his Undersecretary, Hermione Weasley they both came the conclusion that it would look better on their part if they spoke with the muggle’s and muggle press willingly. On January 10th, 2025 Kingsley Shacklebolt and Hermione Weasley talked to the muggle and wizarding press that board cast it all over the world, telling them their whole sorted history.

January 11th, as the children returned to school and sat down to read the morning paper they were all in shock to see what had happened. That day Headmistress McGonagall assured everyone there was nothing to fear, the Minister hadn’t given away the location of the school and never would. They were all still safe there. The reactions from the student body was different, some thought it was about time, other’s didn’t have much of an opinion, and then there were those Pure-Blood elites that were against it whole heartedly.

The year is 1999, a year after the end of the Second War. Lord Voldemort is dead, killed by Harry Potter, the Wizarding World’s Hero. But there has been no rest for those in the Ministery. With Kingsley Shacklebolt the newly elected Minister, the Aurors are busier than ever, hunting down the remnants of the Death Eaters. The ones they catch are quickly filling the cells in Azkaban, which makes the already nervous populace even more so. With Dementors no longer guarding the Wizarding prison, fear of Death Eaters escaping runs high.

That is when Minister Shacklebolt is approached by a young woman, a Seer with a plan of action. She proposes a melding of good and evil through marriage, a way to reform the Death Eaters into people acceptable by today’s society. She explains to him the hardships all will face in the beginning of the plans implementation, but she also explains the benefits that will come about.

The Death Eater Reform Project is then adopted, an article in the Daily Prophet detailing the specifics of the project, explaining their reasoning behind it. Their hopes of creating a better world by having the people themselves reform the Death Eaters. The response to this is mixed, with opposition the majority. Not even the offer of compensation through money could do much to make the populace more receptive. But the Minister and his Seer stand steadfast, waiting the storm out and hoping that fate will not twist and turn the Seer’s future into yet another war.
