hi there!
HI EVERYONE!!!
I'm completely new to Dalton, having been coerced over here by the likes of Kitty and Nick and Kaley. :p My name is Janna and I am very pleased and scared to be here!
I'm bringing in a sophomore named Jacob Adams. :D He's a transfer student from a public high school in Columbus, and is starting up with the new semester at Dalton.
Jacob grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and is an only child - his mom had him when she was twenty-two, so it's always been just the two of them. So he and his mom are really close. Jacob grew up poor, essentially, and really learned how to go without and not ask for anything frivolous. Things got better as he got older, though - his mom got a job as a receptionist at an accounting firm and eventually went to night school to get an accountant's qualifications - and their financial situation eventually eased up slightly. (Although he could only afford to come to Dalton on his grandparents' money - it's the first thing they've ever done for him since he was born, so it's kind of a big deal.) Jacob has a bit of a temper and was picked on for being poor, which usually resulted in him trying to solve his problems with fists instead of words. Now that he's at Dalton, though, he's trying to stop fighting with other people for his mom's sake.
That all being said, though, Jacob is an incredibly friendly guy! He likes meeting new people and prides himself on being able to get along with just about anyone, if he tries hard enough. He likes languages, history, and reading, as well as sports - he's joining the swim team and the soccer team, although he doesn't expect to get to do much at this point because he's joining midway through the year. He's social and despite trying to keep up with his studies and stay on track to avoid disappointing his mom, he's a bit of a procrastinator and can be convinced to join just about anything. He's never happy when he's sitting still.
So yes! Jacob is basically completely new to Dalton! He'd love a roommate (if anyone is in need of one), some new friends, some lines... whatever you need or have to offer, I am definitely interested. I've been itching for a new game for awhile and I'm really looking forward to getting to know all of you and coming up with some fun plots! YAY! <3
