The CornucopiaThe tributes rise through their tubes and into a temperate, if slightly chilly,
arena. The temperature is approximately 45F/7C. Flashes of baby blue are visible in the sky, but only through small holes in a thick formation of bright white mammatus clouds. Glints of the golden Cornucopia can be seen by all tributes, but its exact location is hard to pin-point due to a thick mist that surrounds everyone and obscures the rest of the arena entirely. As such, tributes cannot see much past their immediate vicinity, and it is difficult to pinpoint any outlying gear on the ground.
There are several escapes from the Cornucopia, but none are obvious or visible due to the mist.
The arrangement of tributes is fairly random, with some district partners closer together than others. Tributes cannot see through the Cornucopia, or the mist, very well. So locating allies (and enemies) is difficult.
...Tributes must wait sixty seconds for the gong to sound before leaving their platforms.
