At this point, you two are as prepared for the arena as you will ever be. Rest up and don't be nervous. In an average year, simply surviving the Cornucopia increases each tribute's odds substantially.

You're both pragmatic, though, and aware of your chance of survival. We can't escape the fact that only one person will come out of that arena. Regardless of the outcome, we will be delivering some bad news to at least one family in District 3. Do you have any messages you'd like to pass along in the event of your death?

Tributes each get a private session with the Gamemakers to show off their skills. Based on their performance, the Gamemakers will rate them with a score. The sessions begin with the male from District One and end with the female from District Twelve. Tributes have access to anything they saw during the public sessions (axes are still out). All tributes will wait in the cafeteria until their name is called. After their session, they are returned to their district team for more interview prep time.

Scores will be announced on television in the evening.

All comments will be screened until after the scores are announced. As no one is suppose to know what a tribute did in the session, this will provide a way to maintain an IC element of surprise.

Please try to keep displays realistic, keeping in mind tributes only had 5 days to "train". Scores won't go up for unbelievable feats of skill. Your tribute doesn't have to be good at everything to get a decent score. (eg. Peeta scored an 8 for strength in weight lifting) Everyone makes mistakes, including Careers.

The gym is located in the basement of the training center building. Above it sit each district’s personal living quarters for the tributes’ stay in the Capitol. Tributes are escorted to the training center in the mornings and spend most of the day here. Lunch is provided at 1230 in the cafeteria off the gym. Afterward training ends for the day they are sent to spend time with mentors for strategy and discussion.

Tributes can interact as long as there are no physical altercations. Peacekeepers are at the ready for any needed interventions.

Overtures of friendship to the male tributes from Districts 5 and 7 appear to have been well-received. District 6 female was also amicable, but I question her usefulness. District 6 male appeared [...] ambivalent. Will approach District 12 male tomorrow if possible.

In each district, Peacekeepers and camera crews are out in force. Male and Female tributes are roped off by age group and away from the rest of the district's population. Excitement and anticipation lace the air in Districts 1, 2, and 4 while dread and fear are felt almost everywhere else.

The mayor and all victors are seated on stage in the background. It's a big moment for the Escorts, who take center stage.
