Let the 55th Annual Hunger Games begin!

The Cornucopia

The tributes rise through their tubes and into a mildly warm arena. The sky is clear blue and, for all appearances, it seems to be a pleasant spring day. The Cornucopia is clearly visible to all tributes. In it’s mouth are several crates, lots of scattered jars, and weapons. Several backpacks and small items are strewn around the outskirts.

In all directions,tributes can see nothing but emerald green grass and flowers. They have arisen in a meadow. The meadow is flat and there are no trees, shrubs, or other kinds of cover. It goes on like this until meeting a wall of mountain which encircles the meadow. There are two exits from the meadow, one to the eastern right of the Cornucopia, and the second which is due south. Tributes will not be able to readily see these points, nor can they see anything which lies beyond them.

All the tributes are arranged in a circle around the Cornucopia. District partners seem to be roughly opposite one another. Tributes must wait sixty seconds for the gong to sound before leaving their platforms.

Hi Buck. Tell me about how you feel toward alliances. Do you plan to stick by Tallow?

We have an offer with the 7s, but they want just a 7/10 alliance. Four is a good number, but I'm unsure about the 7 boy. What do you think?

Do you still want an alliance with the 6 boy? We can try to push for a Five person alliance. He appeared to be the oldest, could be good to have him be the only ally without a district mate to keep things balanced.

Hi! So I know you can't really prepare or anything for this but I wanted to see what kind of advice you guys all have for not dying? Because you all managed to not so any tips or tricks of the trade would be really appreciated and thank you!

WHERE: Underground gym
WHAT: Training for the 55th Hunger Games
STATUS: Open

The gym is located in the basement of the training center building. Above it sit each district’s personal living quarters for the tributes’ stay in the Capitol. Tributes are escorted to the training center in the mornings and spend most of the day here. Lunch is provided at 1230 in the cafeteria off the gym. Afterwards they have another 2 hours before going to spend time with mentors for strategy and discussion.

Tributes can interact as long as there are no physical altercations. Peacekeepers are at the ready for any needed interventions.

In each district, Peacekeepers and camera crews are out in force. Male and Female tributes are roped off by age group and away from the rest of the district’s population. Excitement and anticipation lace the air in Districts 1, 2, and 4 while dread and fear are felt almost everywhere else.

The mayor and all victors are seated on stage in the background. It’s a big moment for the Escorts, who take center stage.
