Hey Annie, I think we're out of noodles.

Also, I think I may have travelled back in time. The fall lineup on the DVR is all wrong and I just saw a promo for "Arrow."

Speaking as someone who knows Oliver Queen, I was very disappointed in Arrow, because he did not have Ollie's trademark facial hair.

It was a pretty glaring omission. I'm not sure how anyone could be expected to know who he was. And if it wasn't a deliberate attempt to cash in on the fan favorite status of Hawkeye and the success of Hunger Games, I'm not sure what it could have been.

Wait. I'm a fan favorite?

That's just...weird. I mean, you have Tony. Who's Tony. And Steve, who's sort of makes people want to be patriotic in his pants. And you have Bruce, who is a genius and nine kinds of amazing. And Thor is...sort of like a really weird golden retriever with really awesome abs. And Tasha is hot and can kill you with her things. Why would I be a fan favorite?

Barton.

Everyone sympathizes with a victim with a justifiable desire for revenge.

Fuck you. I wasn't a victim.

Captive, then. Either way, the point still stands.

Everyone loves Iron Man and Captain America, too. And Thor and Black Widow. And we were all pleasantly surprised by Ruffalo's Banner. But you're the only normal guy crazy enough to play on a team of super heroes. That has a certain appeal. And the Deadpan Snarker thing worked for people.

You do realize I'm a real person, right, Abed?

Yes. You were pleasantly surprising.

You're all pretty cool in your own ways, but you took the cake. And if you think your following is big now, wait until the second movie comes out in a few years.

Yes. Your popularity to screen time ratio is probably the highest of all. Especially given that your total screen time was only 12 minutes and 44 seconds during the first Avengers film. Which is less than half that of the person with the second-least amount of screen time. Thor had 25:52, Bruce Banner had 28:03, Black Widow had 33:35, and Iron Man and Captain America both had roughly 37 minutes. You had more in later films.

Those are oddly specific numbers.

They're not oddly specific. They're accurate.

Makes sense, I guess. About the screen time, anyway. If you're making a movie about heroes, you don't want to spend too much time focusing on the bad guys.

No, they spent time on both sides, but you weren't part of the villain arc or the hero arc for the first half of the film. You factored in more in the second half of the film. But everyone loved you. Lots of kids at comic con dressed up as Hawkeye. And yours is a difficult costume to replicate.

Odd. They must have shown significantly less than what happened.

Some of it ended up in the deleted scenes.
