Hello!
So this is another plot organisation post. Just to go over what's been happening.. since the storm on Monday they've had a couple of nights in cramped conditions. When no one unaccounted for on Monday turned up on Tuesday (they sent a few cars to Perry and back throughout the day) a meeting of sorts was scheduled by Art and Carl for Wednesday. They've spent a bit more time than usual in Management's trailer, so everyone else has probably been doubly idle. XD But on Wednesday they would have let everyone know that they were setting up at Enid while they attempted to locate those that were missing. That may have been met with a mixed reaction, but a carnival on the outskirts of town not putting on a carnival would likely be met with suspicion itself. Obviously they do want people looking for those that are missing though. So, really, it's a matter putting together parties. For Wednesday and Thursday they're going to be setting up so the roughies/rousties are going to be in more demand at the carnival, whereas they'll have more time when the carnival is up and running. Over the weekend performers/freaks/operators will obviously be in more demand at the carnival. (Though your character doesn't have to stay and play their part, of course, and can always attempt/get someone to cover for them - this could be an opportunity to (temporarily) have a go at another job, including those of the missing women too.)
But back to the meeting/organising. We felt that those sorts of threads don't work so well unless everyone's online at the same time (especially when they're there to move things along). So, feel free to cover here what your character may have said/done in response to the missing people and the carnival going up, if you like. But what we're after, I guess, is who would go looking and whether they'd leave their 'post' to do so. We had a thought for finding them, as well, if a couple of people would be up for it. While Bathsheba is largely self sufficient, there are likely to be a handful of things they can't produce properly themselves (maybe gasoline or somesuch) ..so one of the ladies could have travelled to Enid for whatever it may be and be happened upon by someone from the carnival who recognises them and realises something's up and follows them? They'll likely need to come back and rethink things following their 'welcome' at Bathsheba, though. And that might require more thoughts on how to go about rescuing them given the.. state the ladies are in. ;) If you'd be up for that, let us know. Otherwise.. they can always just find Bathsheba through some lucky searching, but the other way might be a fun thread for some!
So, long thread short.. will your character be in on the search efforts? Will they neglect their role at the carnival to do so? Will your character fill in for someone else? Does anyone like the idea of the crazy random happenstance town seeing/following scenario and want their characters involved? Let's get some ideas and interactions going. :) Oh, Art and Carl will be involved. There will always be one keeping things together at the carnival, but the other may be around or may be searching.
