We are working on the assignments, but we've just had a death in the family and are coping with the nearby wildfires, extreme heat, and the threat of blackouts in Southern California. Assignments will be slightly delayed, but we expect to get them all out by Wednesday.

We're coming down to the wire on signups for this year's exchange, so if you haven't signed up yet, hurry! If you have, thanks! Now, go tell all your flisters! *g*

We've had a few questions and requests for clarifications, so here are some answers and explanations:

1. The Sign Up Post is here. Please don't sign up on the rules post or anywhere else.

2. If you are requesting Gen only and do not want to specify any pairing, please provide at least three Gen prompts for fic and/or art, so your gifter will have a few ideas to play with.

3. For Slash and Het, please provide at least three different Snape pairings you are willing to receive AND willing to provide. "Snape/Umbridge, Umbridge/Snape, and Snape-Umbridge-friendship gen only" are not three different pairings. Be kind to your poor mods and pick three different pairings. If you really only want one Snape pairing, please provide at least two Snape gen prompts, or Snape-solo prompts, in addition.

Signups are "officially" closing at Midnight on Friday, August 28, but we're not going to pay attention to the date stamp; we'll just close them when we finally get online sometime Saturday, so feel free to sneak in under the wire, if that's what works for you!

Sign ups for the 2009 snapelyholidays exchange are now open!

This is where you sign up to participate. Please read our info post for the rules and sign-up form.

Your sign-up form must be as complete as possible. If something does not require an answer, for example, if you have no squicks, please indicate it or write "n/a," don't just leave it blank. We can't assume you have no squicks - you might have inadvertently skipped an answer.

If you are posting a sign-up for a friend, write "Posting for [friend's author name]" in the subject line of your comment. An email addy is required.

The two most important things about your form:
  1. Make sure you are providing the person who will receive your request at least three options. (I won't quibble over those who provide more than the requested amount. More, in this case, makes things easier all around!)


  2. Make sure to provide an email and/or journalname w/link for the person you choose that can answer questions about your preferences!

    NOTE: If you prefer, you can designate the moddy's and we will act as relay between you and the person writing/drawing for you in order to protect the anonymity of the exchange.


Sign ups close on August 28th. Assignments start going out August 31st. A list of participants' names will be posted once all intended recipients respond back to their assignment.

The exchange is over - oh noes! Here is the list of stories in posting order, and what a lovely mix we got for our inaugural exchange!

The reveals won't go up until Monday the 12th, so please consider spending Severus's birthday (or this weekend) re-reading your favourites, reading the ones you missed, and, if you haven't already, please take time to leave some feedback. The authors and artists will appreciate it! They may even come back next year and write more fic and draw more art. (!) A little encouragement & love go a long way. :)

When my brain attempted to combine "non-magical/Muggle AU" and "Snape/Fenrir," it tied in a knot and this happened. I'm very sorry this led to as little smut as it did, but efforts to increase the smut quotient felt very wedged-in and weird. There are more notes at the end, should you wish to read them first.
