Did you know: decades ago on Earth, the city of New York used to have a "ball drop" that up to a million people would squish in to watch happen downtown on New Year's Eve? Up to a million. And that's not counting the people around the world who watched it on the television. We should make a custom like that! Director Phan! RAC ball drop 2073!

Happiest of new year wishes to you all, by the way. :)

MEDICS.
If anyone would like to stock up on new equipment or supplies, we got a giant shipment in last night. I have so much gauze, cotton swabs and disposable syringes that I don't know what to do with them.

By the way, you should all come in for a physical. Dr. Gonzalez says so. ♡

FILTERED TO IRELAND.
You've been awfully quiet these last couple of weeks. I hope your captain hasn't banned holiday celebrations from the ship entirely.

Thank you for the tree, by the way. Now let's just hope I don't manage to kill it.

Though I'm sure you've all heard it enough, happy new year! An old Earth transplant told me they used to have snow every Christmas and New Year back on Earth. Is that true? God, how awful. Give me a Tijuana Christmas any day over all that cold!

Book club meeting on the 11th. 7:00 pm at Mag's Diner. We're reading Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, which is an old Earth thriller if you want to catch up to us. I'm not done yet but someone else might have a copy to lend you.

As far as I know there's been no leads on our kidnappers from last month, so don't rest easy just yet. If you've got somewhere to be, I can take you.
