Scion of a wealthy LA family, Julian Keller attended the same school as Doreen Green and Nico Minoru, enjoying a privileged position as one of the popular crowd. That changed when he manifested his telekinesis. Tricked into joining a criminal mutant gang thinking they were superheroes, Julian was eventually sent to Xavier’s and reunited with his former schoolmates. His tenure as a student was a notable one, with old foes coming back to haunt him as well as new rivalries getting him into trouble. Eventually he graduated, although he mourned the loss of friend Nicholas Gleason, believed killed in an attack on the graduation ceremony, and began dating Nico. An incident with her powers in 2011 unnerved both of them and she broke up with him, leading to a night of debauchery and several months of lying low, before he took up his father’s offer of a chance to learn the business and returned to LA. Julian is, however, a superhero at heart, and he continues to work with the West Coast Annex.

Powers: Probability manipulation.

Domino Discovered by Nathan Dayspring and G.W. Bridge in the fighting pits of Hong Kong as a teenaged girl, Domino became a mercenary and a member of the Pack, despite Nathan and G.W.'s encouragement to do something less dangerous. Her 'luck powers', a combination of mild reality warping and slight precognition, stood her in good stead and over the years she has become family to Nathan and occasionally an injection of logic in the face of his angsting. Currently she works for Elpis at the Tel Aviv office and maintains a relationship with Pete Wisdom.

Powers: Absorption of life force, memories and powers through skin to skin contact; flight, super strength and invulnerability.

Marie D'Ancato has come a long way from the frightened girl who stowed away in Logan's truck in X1, growing into a self-assured young woman and experienced X-Man. Her inability to touch remains her curse and while she has mastered the skills of flight, super-strength and invulnerability she permanently absorbed from a Brotherhood member, she still fears intimacy. Following the recent massacre of the new Alpha Flight team, Marie has been working to find out who was responsible, and is currently undercover in Europe, chasing down leads.

Name: PIETRO MAXIMOFF

Powers: Super speed.

Pietro Maximoff: One of twins born to Erik Lensherr and his Rom wife Magda, Pietro sought his terrorist father out as a teen, eventually joining his Brotherhood of Mutants. The events of X2, however, rocked his faith in his father's vision, and he became a double agent, feeding information to the X-Men in an attempt to mitigate Magneto's extremes. When his cover was blown, he fled for his life to Xavier, cutting a deal with the US government to avoid imprisonment for his own terrorist actions. He reunited with his sister Wanda, but their relationship, always a rocky one, had further strain placed on it by her position with X-Force. Pietro became an X-Man in order to try and redeem some of his own actions, but it wasn't enough for him - never a people person - to make the connections he needed, and the speedster eventually took on a job as security consultant to the royal family of Attilan, old friends of his. Attilan is but a small island - will Pietro's notoriously short attention span find another avenue in the future?

Name: JONO STARSMORE

Powers: Telepathy and psionic energy bursts

Status: POTENTIAL X-MAN - AVAILABLE FOR APPLICATIONS.

Jono Starsmore Slightly rebellious son of middle-class English parents, Jono managed his mutant powers with minimal issues until the Great Mutant Headache of X2. The pain caused him to lose control of his psionic energies, blowing a hole in his chest and destroying the lower part of his face. Incredibly, he survived, ultimately arriving at Xavier's to learn control of the blasts. Control wasn't forthcoming, but the embittered loner found love instead, in the form of Paige Guthrie. A further powers accident cost him his entire body, until a daring plan by the genius Forge (who harboured his own feelings for Paige), enabled him to fully reconstruct himself. The bliss of a whole body was not to be, and an encounter with Kevin Ford cost him that hard-won form. Eventually he was able to partially rebuild himself, and he and Paige returned from Muir Island Research Facility, Paige to resume her work in the medlab, Jono to resume teaching Music. The rigors of the school - and the team's presence there - proved too much, and after several months Jono decided to try life outside, moving into an apartment in Salem Center. He continued to teach music at the school and maintained a low profile. Currently he is on tour with a local band, looking to rediscover his musical roots.

Name: Monet St. Croix

Date of Birth: February 15, 1987

Powers: Flight, invulnerability, super-strength, telepathy and fabulous hair.

Daughter of an Australian media mogul and his Aboriginal wife, Monet was the veritable spoiled rich brat and enfant terrible. Expelled from a number of private schools, she was eventually sent to Xavier’s, where she discovered there was more to the world than just enjoying herself. She joined the NGO Elpis and later became an X-Man, inititially out of boredom but remaining out of a growing sense of altruism. Following an incident where her estranged brother tried to steal her brain with his powers, Monet found herself dealing with being less than perfect for the first time in her life as she coped with brain damage in the aftermath. In 2012 she returned to Australia to work for her father following a rowdy break up with then-boyfriend Kurt Sefton.

Powers: Shapeshifter - wolf.

Rahne Sinclair A quiet, mild-mannered girl, Rahne was adopted and raised by the strict and hard Reverend Craig. She manifested during the Great Mutant Headache of X2, turning into her full wolf shape and being denounced as a demon by the denizens of the remote Scottish village in which she lived. Moira MacTaggart rescued her and arranged for her to come to Xavier's, where over the next five years she learned to control her shapeshifting, achieving a transitionary state, as well as becoming more comfortable with her wolf form. Having joined Elpis., in September 2008 she transferred to the Tel Aviv office to pursue her studies and found there a 'pack' that filled the long-empty gap created by her sojourn in Asgard and the loss of her only love, Prince Hrimhari.

Alex Summers, younger brother of Scott, is the quintessential surfer dude, raised on Hawaii. A student of the school since 2003, he remained as a teacher, embroiled in on-again, off-again relationships with the older Lorna Dane and the closeted Shiro Yoshida. In 2008 he joined the X-Men, finally free of the Boy Hostage mantle which had dogged his student years.

In July 2009, Alex returned to Hawaii, to continue his geological studies with a working summer course, living with his long-time friend Jared; his place at the Institute - and the X-Men - is always available for him.

Cecilia Reyes, a medical student at Columbia University, she was forced to leave there and come to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters after being outed as a mutant in the wake of the massacre there. Pragmatic and driven by her lifelong goal to become a doctor, Cecilia found the madness of the school difficult to deal with. She developed a close friendship with Xi'an Coy Manh, the librarian, and with the other doctors, but her world view was shattered with the hatching of Lockheed the dragon from an egg brought back from Asgard. Unable to deal with such affronts to reality as she knew it, Cecilia moved into an apartment in nearby Salem Center and continued her studies, although her lack of focus on developing control of the forcefield she can project may one day come back to haunt her.

Mark Sheppard met the folks at the Snow Valley Memorial Center for Mutant Affairs when an investigation into the disappearances of young mutants led them to his nightclub, Silver. After assisting them discover what happened, he signed on and worked as SV’s receptionist, bringing a rather goofy and flamboyant humor to X-Force. A close call with a demon dimension nearly cost him his life, and in September 2009 he left the Snow Valley offices to better use his talents and contacts with the mutant underground.

Cessily Kincaid is composed of non-toxic mercury, with a tenuous grip on her powers and a tendency to turn into a puddle. Viewed as an faerie imposter by her parents when she manifested, she was kept in the house for months until eventually being sent to Xavier's. It was a place she felt more at home in, until the events of Day Zero traumatised her to the extent she was unable to retain her human form much. She was sent to Attilan's mutant school in October 2008 for further training in a calmer environment, with the option to return any time she wants.
