"Been havin' bad times... and I been paying dues.... got shoes and money and good friends too..." Suki sang softly to herself as she set herself up at a table near an outlet in the Mocha. She was sick of looking at all her grandfather's things in the apartment and, until Kaito Kimura's will was completely out of probate (seriously, eight months and it wasn't done yet?) she couldn't dispose of anything, no matter how much she'd like to redecorate. Three to four more months, her lawyers said, and then everything should be done. Of course, she didn't believe them. They'd been saying that for the last three to four months.

"Always play to win, but always seem to lose... that's why I think I got a rich kid's blues...." She sighed as she settled in, her notebook on the table before her. Open in it was her manuscript, half a scene in a three act play that she hadn't added a single word to all day, and Minesweeper. All in all, the freak happenstance that allowed her to clear a beginner board in one second was her greatest achievement that day, but she was bored with it, and her manuscript, and everything else. Turning her back to the wall beside her, Suki sipped at her coffee and watched the people around her, most of them not noticing the slight Asian girl watching them.
