Life can change in an instant. One second, one inch makes all the difference.

25 March, 1998; everything changed. After breaking the taboo on Voldemort's name, Harry, Ron and Hermione were captured and taken to Malfoy where they were only saved with the intervention of Dobby, the House Elf who was tragically killed.

What if not everything went according to plan? As Dobby gripped Harry's hand, Bellatrix Lestrange hurled her knife across the room, one second earlier. It struck, one inch to the left. As Dobby collapsed, Voldemort arrived and Harry Potter was plunged into the hands of the Dark Lord.

Now, it is nearing the end of 1998. Life has flowed on with little to disrupt Voldemort's puppet Ministry. For a time things seemed calm, as the Ministry slowed changes and life started to return to normal. Yet, rumours have started to circulate that Pius Thicknese is about to retire from the post of Minister and will soon be replaced by someone so much more sinister. Voldemort would only sit back for so long and that time has now passed. It will not be long now.

Welcome to Inimicum! A game that explores the rise of Voldemort in a world where the Order has failed and the dark grip is getting stronger. After all, their saviour is dead...isn't he?

The year is 1981 and Wizarding London is overrun with crime. Favoured Mayoral Candidate Lucius Malfoy seeks to put an end to it if only to improve the climate for his upcoming election. Two wars are being waged in this torn city: that between the youth and the elders, and that over familial allegiances.

The Crime Syndicate is allegedly killing a fresh victim each night, but they hold to their own standards of morality and conduct. Albus Dumbledore's uniformed officers of the Law are desperately trying to tie the infamous Black family with claims of prostitution, drugs, and murders. The city of London is in chaos and a new band of Vigilantes has taken matters into their own hands.

TOM RIDDLE IS DEAD!!

What if Tom Riddle never became The Dark Lord and decided to lead a political campaign instead? What if his charm had won over the public and he was elected Minister of Magic? What if he never went after Harry Potter and his parents on that fateful Halloween night? What if his reign as Minister came to a sudden end?

Who is the culprit? The members of the vigilante group that opposed his mistreatment of Muggleborns? Or perhaps a greedy underling craving more power?

Hidden Agenda is a somewhat political Harry Potter Trio-Era AU RPG that explores the 'what ifs' had characters chosen a different path to what's written in the books. There is no Wizarding War but the prejudice against Muggleborns is still very much alive.

Now, with Tom Riddle dead, can the Order of the Phoenix instil a new Minister and change the world for the better? Or will Tom's Death Eaters continue their reign?

The Golden-trio is only marginally closer to solving the puzzle of victory than they were immediately following their beloved Headmaster's death. Muggleborns have been rounded up and held in cells at Azkaban. Those under the spell of the Complacens potion remain content with the government, but there are those who are beginning to fight it; those few that are beginning to build immunity to the potion and are assembling secretly underground. Where will you be when the world as we now know it burns to the ground? Will you continue to live under the draconian rule of the Dark Lord? Or will you be part of the Uprising? Game opened on July 30, 2010. A Post-Warts, Non Deathly Hallows Compliant Game

By the spring of 1999 the Trio had collected and destroyed all six of the Horcruxes and they set out to find the Dark Lord hoping to end it once and for all. At the climax of the duel, Harry gained the upper hand and Voldemort, knowing he had seconds left, used his last lifeline: a time turner. With the fall of their Lord, the Death Eaters abandoned the battle and it appeared to the wizarding world that their greatest enemy had been defeated. Unknown to them, the time turner had brought Voldemort into 2002 where he was already gathering his followers and one more Horcrux still remained. Voldemort had unknowingly created another when he had killed Harry's parents and attempted to kill Harry. The newly shattered part of his soul was transferred into the infant when the Dark Lord cast the killing curse.

The New Year of 2003 would be marked with tragedy. The Dark Lord would announce his return at the Ministry’s Annual New Year’s Ball where innocents were attacked and dozens were slaughtered. In the aftermath of the battle, accusatory eyes turned to the once celebrated hero; Harry Potter. Overnight the news spread and people began to feel again the terror that had yet to fade completely. Over the next few months the Ministry worked around the clock to assure the people that this time wouldn’t be like the last; this time they should place their trust with the government and not in the hands of an adolescent hero. The Ministry’s demeanor became one of confidence. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named had struck out twice already and this time the situation would be handled properly. Voldemort had other plans.

On June 23rd the Ministry of Magic fell. Trust and security was shattered when Voldemort and his army entered the Ministry building, having been given access from within. Death Eaters and dark creatures alike swarmed through the structure, destroying everything in their path; among the dead was found every member of the Wizengamot including the Minister of Magic himself. Once and for all the Dark Lord proved what he was capable of.

With their Headquarters in ruins, the Ministry has been forced to relocate and is scrambling to come to terms with their losses and what it meant for the future. Wizarding Britain looks to the future with little hope while the Trio desperately search for the missing piece, knowing that if the Dark Lord had returned that their mission had not yet been completed. Another Horcrux must still be in existence and destroying it is the only way to ensure their liberation.

JULY 31, 1978. A new batch of interns has moved into the flats that will be their homes for the next year. August brings the first day of these graduates’ internships.

The results of Lord Voldemort’s presence can be felt everywhere, from the mysterious seclusion of some classmates post-graduation, to the slew of fervent elopements that erupted in its wake. Outside the secure walls of Hogwarts, the disappearances of Daily Prophet reporters, inexplicable deaths of Ministry of Magic employees, and the growing St. Mungo’s psych ward are becoming a bit more real.

The class of '78 doesn’t live in a safe haven anymore. Meals aren’t served promptly, laundry isn’t folded and returned to wardrobes, and no one is checking to see if everyone gets home safely. This is the first time that most of these graduates will live on their own, and they couldn’t be more vulnerable.

Not all of Lord Voldemort’s newly-devoted followers have cut off contact from their old friends. Some have been assigned a more important mission: infiltration.

There's an old rule when it comes to time turners, time machines, and vortexes of any sort.

If you tweak one thing, everything else changes. Like the butterfly effect without Ashton. Let's see what happens when we pull a few strings.

It's August, 1978. It's only been two months since the Marauders' graduation from Hogwarts, but it feels like two years. Everyone has chosen a side and everyone is on their toes, knowing that the next time they walk out the door may be their last. No one knows who is on the right side, who is on the wrong, or who is standing around the corner, ready to kill them. And, in this game, you don't either. The plot written as it's played, as you play it.
