..welcome to the uprising..


It is the year 2000, the Wizarding World of Great Britain has been under the Dark Lord's rule for four years. The Golden-trio is no closer to solving the puzzle of victory than they were immediately following their beloved Headmaster's death. Muggleborns have been rounded up into camps or held in cells at Azkaban. Those under the spell of the Complacens potion remain content with the government, but there are those who are beginning to fight it. There are few that are beginning to build immunity to the potion and are assembling secretly underground.

Where will you be? Will you continue to live under the draconian rule of the Dark Lord?

Or will you be part of the Uprising?

Game opened on July 30, 2010. Most wanted characters by other players include: Severus Snape, Horace Slughorn, Charlie Weasley, Amycus Carrow, Nott, Sr, Draco Malfoy. Also looking for most canon characters and original characters, too!

JULY 31, 1978. A new batch of interns has moved into the flats that will be their homes for the next year. August brings the first day of these graduates’ internships.

The results of Lord Voldemort’s presence can be felt everywhere, from the mysterious seclusion of some classmates post-graduation, to the slew of fervent elopements that erupted in its wake. Outside the secure walls of Hogwarts, the disappearances of Daily Prophet reporters, inexplicable deaths of Ministry of Magic employees, and the growing St. Mungo’s psych ward are becoming a bit more real.

The class of '78 doesn’t live in a safe haven anymore. Meals aren’t served promptly, laundry isn’t folded and returned to wardrobes, and no one is checking to see if everyone gets home safely. This is the first time that most of these graduates will live on their own, and they couldn’t be more vulnerable.

Not all of Lord Voldemort’s newly-devoted followers have cut off contact from their old friends. Some have been assigned a more important mission: infiltration.

LOOK INSIDE YOURSELF and ask some important questions: If you had the opportunity to learn the answers to those what-if’s, would you want to know? Would you try to do it differently the second time? And if the second chance turned out to be less than what you expected it to be, would you be able to handle it? By the year 2025, the Wizarding World had seen two great wars and watched Lord Voldemort fall twice. While most of the world was thriving, the Ministry was aware of several areas that had been evacuated during war and lay in the British countryside like ghost towns. On an afternoon that should have been like any other in one of these abandoned villages there was a loud and sudden CRACK that typically signaled apparation, someone arrived. Two someones actually-- both of whom weren’t supposed to be there at all. As people arrive from times that span over three decades and are forced to settle in far from the homes and times they know, an unsettling feeling spreads through the Wizarding community. Is this a time of second chances? Or does something wicked this way come? Welcome to Transfigured, a Harry Potter time displacement game. "….Voldemort's powerful now. You don't know who his supporters are, you don't know who's working for him and who isn't; you know he can control people so that they do terrible things without being able stop themselves. You're scared for yourself, and your family, and your friends. Every week, news comes of more deaths, more disappearances, more torturing … The Ministry of Magic's in disarray, they don't know what to do, they're trying to keep everything hidden from the Muggles, but meanwhile, Muggles are dying too. Terror everywhere … panic … confusion …"

Across Europe the Wizarding Community lies in fear. Voldemort and his followers are on the rise, leaving behind a reign of terror in their wake. As his numbers increase, Wizards begins to grow more uneasy, increasingly choosing to fall prey to his Empire, out of fear, unwilling to stand up and fight.

In spite of the increasing danger, a small group of vigilante Wizards have begun a rebellion, daring to do what the Ministry fears to do; fight. The Order of the Phoenix is slowly growing into a force to be reckoned with, threatening not only Voldemort, but the Ministry itself.

Change is on the brink for the students of Hogwarts. No longer will they be safe behind the confines of the castle, unaware to the real dangers of the world. They will soon be forced to make their own loyalties known; a decision that will affect not only the rest of their lives, but the entire Wizarding World.

Amongst the darkness, these students are potentially the light needed to give the Order the man power to take on Voldemort’s forces. As both sides fight to gain support, one question lies: which side do you choose?

In the midst of the fearful time were the wizarding world is on the brink of an all out war, it was the professors of Hogwarts who decided to try to lighten up the everyday lives of their students. They spent that summer devising a plan for a bit of competition and light hearted fun but with strict rules and necessary precautions. And it wasn't until the student's first day of school, during the welcoming feast did Professor Dumbledore announce to them that this year they would bestow upon them the first and only Decaduel Competition. He calmly explained that it was simply a dueling competition for Hogwarts students 5th year, or 15 years and up. There shall only be one winner, a winner who shall be infamous within the walls of Hogwarts. A winner of extravagant prizes including a crown to call their own. With the entire Great Hall a buzz with all the news, Dumbledore then asks the many excited witches and wizards, who then is ready for the challenge, to receive the glory that is the Decaduel King or Queen?

The story of how the UK was taken over is one passed down from person to person in the shadows, carried by a whisper and a hollow gasp. No one can understand how finally, the noble Harry Potter could have won, and then lost so quickly. A room full of people got to see the last of Voldemort, and no longer are scared to utter his name, even if most do so quietly. Now theirs is a word much more horrifying.

The Mortvi are a ruthless lot, Death Eaters renaming themselves after the fall of Voldemort. They used to be his closest of slaves, rather then minions. Many scorned and angry they disappeared into the darkness after their master's fall. Nobody knows how they could return and sweep the ministry building in one night, and foil the Order in another. Not even the Order can figure out how it happened. There is no Prophecy to hold them back, and only a new world order of terror to set them forward. Who's going to stop them?


The United Kingdom is in peril. Lawbreakers go unpunished, Aurors and defense go without deploy as they are sent to other places during times the government itself is breaking laws. The Queen herself, as an unseeing Muggle is second to the rulers of the new Wizarding World. They blind the fools who chooose to believe with the thin sheet that they make the UK a better place. The Lestranges are the Ministers for Magic, each of them, without The Dark Lord to hold them back on their escapades, the British island and it's people are pawns to their tests of society. It is almost as if they're free to kill and terrorize at their own will, being so bold as to not hide their own crimes. They have even fooled the new generation of wizards into doing their bidding as they once did the bidding of the Dark Lord. Umbra Populus, the young brigade to the Mortvi. They stroll about free as birds even though they are captors like everyone else. But soon even they won't be so...'free.'

On 2 May 1998, the Second War finally came to an end - and with the death of Harry Potter, a new era of peace, stability, and the return of purist rule and wizarding superiority over Muggles has begun.

It has now been over a year since the Battle of Hogwarts and the Ministry of Magic under Pius Thicknesse has continued to thrive. Pure-bloods once again hold positions of power. The misguided students of the perversely named Dumbledore's Army are being reformed into well-behaved citizens who dutifully serve their government. Promising young wizards from the old families are recruited into the new Knights of Walpurgis to foster political and social connections among the elite. More Muggle-born criminals are safely locked away each day to protect those worthy of magic. The balance of freedom between the wizards and Muggles is finally tipping back into the favour of the magical world for the first time since the International Statute of Secrecy was passed in 1692.

Despite all of the current regime's successes, however, there are still terrorists - such as the Order of the Phoenix - and dissenters who would betray the Ministry and everything it stands for from within and without. For most, the war is over - and for others, it never ended and will not until the world has descended into anarchy once more.

The REPUBLIC is a dark AU Post-warts game that follows canon up until the end of the first half of the Battle of Hogwarts. In the AU-verse, Voldemort succeeded in killing Harry Potter in the forest, and the Ministry of Magic under the control of the Death Eaters has continued to become more and more powerful with each passing month.
