Across this new divide


The war is over and the magical community of Great Britain is still rebuilding. On the surface, things seem peaceful and full of promise. In shadowed alley ways and behind closed doors, however, darkness still broods. The Death Eaters are no more - most of the members imprisoned or dead - but an old organization is reshaping quietly with the intent of continuing the fight against contamination of magical blood. Within the Ministry, there are those that would expose the wizarding world to muggles, in hopes that they will find acceptance and equality. Troubling and dangerous days lie ahead. New lines will be drawn in the sand, between friends and family alike, with no clear idea of right and wrong this time. Where will you stand, when the fighting begins?

The battle of Hogwarts in 1998 brought devastation and destruction unlike any that the Hogwarts Castle had ever seen. Everything from the foundation to the highest of towers suffered damage, leaving the world in shock and fear as to what would happen next. Would Hogwarts reopen its doors for their children? Would the wizarding world recover from the war and bring back what they were seeking all along; peace.

After some deliberation, Minerva McGonagall met with the heads of Beauxbaton’s and Durmstrang to decide the fate of magical education. It took three years to come to an agreement, students were briefly sent to Beauxbatons and Durmstrang during this time.

What was decided was that it was no longer a good idea to separate those of magical background all over the world. True enough it would create a larger demand for professors, larger classes and a greater need for space, but what it would also give is a greater understanding for the unity needed in the magical world.

It took time but finally the perfect castle was ready for the job and letters were sent out to the students and families chosen to be the first ever in the school.

The 2022-2023 school year has begun and students from all over the world are joining at the gates of Vârste paºnice Castle. The students will be resorted into new houses, new activities and events will be planned to open the doors of communication and team building among houses and among students of different backgrounds.

But will this be an experiment gone wrong or will they finally have what they seek; the age of peace?
