So, we all know the story...

The "Boy Who Lived" defeated the Dark Lord as an infant.. and many other times over the years. But it was not until the Boy’s fifth year at Hogwarts and the terrible turn of events at in the Department of Mysteries did the Ministry of Magic finally acknowledge the return of the largely feared Dark Lord, Tom Marvolo Riddle, also known as Lord Voldemort.

After the tragic events of Harry’s fifth year, his sixth year proved not to be much better of an end. Dumbledore lay dead with Sirius and the others now, and Dumbledore was the last line of real help Harry had. The important thing Harry knew was following out Dumbledore's dying mission: to find and destroy those Horcruxes.

Little did Harry know that the secret lie in a child-- another child in his year. This child is the only heir of the man with the initials R.A.B. The man that Harry came to wonder about time and time again. No one knew about this little secret-- this child-- not even R.A.B. himself. He was killed one month before the mystery child had been born.

On the night of July 31st, 1997, a prediction was made by everyone’s favourite Hogwarts Divination Professor, Sybil Trelawney...

"It is now in our darkest hour
That our savior will need the most help
But he will not find that help in friends
No
In another heir he will find his help
The secrets lie in a girl"


Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, and Hermione Granger were all whisked back immediately, having only left hours before for Godric’s Hollow (the place Harry now called home) to be informed of this, and if they could think of anyone it could be.. but there were too many options. It could have been anyone within a year or two radius of Harry’s own age! Due to the fact that the circumstances had changed drastically, the trio was forced, reluctantly, to return to Hogwarts for their 7th year.

And this is where we begin... The war has started and the search for the only other person who can help Harry to fulfill his Prophecy, has begun.



**This game is not only one of the HP RPG world, but it is also an interactive mystery. We are looking for players who are imaginative and very active. The game is similar to Clue in the sense that muns and characters alike have the chance to decode and discover whom this certain mystery girl is.**

Harry Potter defeated the Dark Lord Voldemort in 1998. Finally, 5 long years later, the world finally seems at ease with peace. Everyone's moved on and Harry is beloved by the Wizarding World - well, most of them. The only thing left to do for this generation is live out the rest of their lives. Some however, may find that harder to do than they might have expected. No longer a world focused on fear and war, they must focus on their lives. Careers ahead of them, love lives, friendships and making it on their own. Few are fortunate enough to have family fortunes to live of off while most have to make their place in the world on their own...

Harry is 23 and all ages range around there both older and younger. We have moved from GJ, though we never got started there.

In the year 1997, Harry Potter brought upon the demise of the long feared Dark Wizard, Lord Voldemort. Shortly after his downfall, Kingsley Shacklebolt was named Minister of Magic temporarily. During this time, the Ministry immediately started investigating all of it's employees in an effort to rid Wizarding London of all supporters of the Dark Lord and of anyone who abused their power or committed any crimes during the war. People were arrested and fired and many more were found to have been under the imperius curse. Such actions and steps being made and taken by the Ministry, the community reveled in their new hope for a life of peace and normalcy. No longer would they have to live in fear of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and no longer would they have to doubt Ministry and their actions.

Unfortunately, it took only four short years for corruption to spread through out the Ministry and the Wizarding world once more. The new found struggle for power within the Ministry walls resulted in blackmail, conspiracy and murder. In December of 1998, Kingsley Shacklebolt was found murdered in his office along side the Aurors that were assigned to protect him. The investigation concluded that the Minister and his guards were murdered by one of the Death Eaters that is still on the run from searching Aurors. Shortly after the investigation ended, Gawain Robards was given the position of Minister of Magic. He was supported by a large group of followers, but some knew better. Robards welcomed the position and for a long time had craved it and had his own ideas about how Wizarding London should be ran. He spent years collecting information on existing members of the Wizenmagot and many people with high positions of power within the Ministry. Robards promised positive changes within the community and offered a charming demeanor that gained him the support of all of his followers. The Minister took it upon himself to use this information that he had on many members of the Ministry to force out the honest employees that did not adhere to his new ideas.

Imagine a world where Voldemort never made any horcruxes. Imagine how life would be now if, on that fateful night he killed James Potter and turned his wand on young Harry, without his fragmented soul to save him from death, Lily's sacrifice and the rebounding killing curse actually did an end to the dark lord Voldemort. How would things be different? [info]darkness_rising explores this question, giving players the chance to interpret their character and their now up in the air background as they want. Would they turn out differently? What events would change and which would stay the same? And how the hell will Harry Potter turn out with years of normalcy behind him instead of all that doom?

Of course, while we're on the subject of doom, things are not all that great in the wizarding world. One dark night in the early winter nearing the end of 1999, a small group of Death Eaters led a secretive raid on the wizard prison, Azkaban. They had one major goal; to release Bellatrix Black. Yes, you read her name correctly, she pretty much immediately declared her independance from her husband, and goes by her maiden name. It seems a little bit ridiculous that the Ministry would have no idea who was in the cell that was broken into, but they're claiming innocence about the whole thing. Even most of the Aurors are clueless about who the main escapee was. Someone clearly wants them to remain ignorant.

That's where we stand. Of course, no one knows why the Dementors didn't stop the breakout, or even how many people, other than Bellatrix herself, escaped. Battle lines are going to be drawn, soon, and neutrality isn't really an option. One one side, the Order of the Phoenix, and on the other, the Death Eaters, 'led' by the insane and sadistic Bellatrix. Obviously, this is an AU game, though a lot of the minor plot in the books may be kept intact if you wish.

The game takes place in 2000 and Harry and the gang have been out of school for about a year and a half.

One story ends, and another begins. Isn't that the way of the world? Harry Potter and the survivors of Voldemort's reign certainly begged to differ. Their chapter was complete, their chapter that was filled with terrible danger, fighting, and death. Surely something like that could never happen again. It would be too unfair, too cruel, too barbaric. Another story would begin for the next generation, but those students wouldn't have to worry about Hogwarts being unsafe, or they wouldn't have to fear that every whisper of the Dark Lord's name would bring shivers and trembles from those around.

And this was the way their world was for many years. Survivors could laugh freely, live, learn, and love. Families were growing without the constant worry that soon they would all be fighting a war that never promised much hope. They'd won. How many times could one win?

Despite the belief throughout the wizarding world that all really was well now that Voldemort was finished and all his closest allies were dead, it's never that easy. Someone has been waiting, lurking, planning an uprising so strong that wizards and muggles a like are in terminal danger. All thought Lucius Malfoy had been killed shortly after the battle at Hogwarts, but it was all a ploy, a lie, to throw the world off until the time had come, much like Voldemort had done between the first and second wars. The Death Eaters have a new leader, one who is all too eager to pick up on where things left off. He is trying to gather armies, wizards and creatures a like. Everyday Lucius randomly picks a number he likes and kills that many muggles, brutally, leaving many mysteries afloat in the muggle world.

It's the year 2025, and things will get bad at Hogwarts, slowly but surely, channeling the Carrows. Students will return to another year at Hogwarts believing that there is nothing to fear but fear itself, but as each day passes, the blindfold obscuring their eyes from the truth will start to crumble. New alliances will form, as will new enemies, as a wizarding world still regrouping from something so terrible must open their eyes and choose their path.


The game opens February 1st! Still a lot of open slots, especially the boys! We'd love to see more boys before girls at this moment, so if you're interested, take a peak!
