Who: Eddie Carmichael and Astoria Greengrass
What: Running into one another for the first time in a long time.
When: Early evening, Sunday, January 20th.
Where: London, outside of the Leaky Cauldron
Rating: TBA.
Status: In progress

Eddie honestly hadn't had that much to drink. He knew better because he had to work the next morning and wouldn't it have been highly responsible to get highly plastered. Okay, so he wasn't the poster child for responsibility, but Eddie liked his job and he knew he wouldn't be fond of getting fired. So he only had a few, chatted up some of the people he saw in there regularly and decided to walk off what he'd already drank so that he could simply apparate home without splinching himself. It was either Diagon Alley or London and he decided to walk into London in the end.

He paid for his drinks and gave a wave goodbye before popping a mint and heading toward the exit. Eddie wasn't good with sitting around at home and drinking so the Leaky Cauldron had become one of his favorite places to just relax. It was one of the few places left that he hadn't gotten into too much trouble in. He liked new places and finding the new pubs and bars that opened up around where he lived, but the Leaky Cauldron was like home to him and he wasn't keen on getting kicked out and banned permanently. He'd leave that to some of the mates he drank with in there because he didn't want to mess up his routine of having a couple of drinks there after work. His routine was probably boring to outsiders. Go to work during the week, have a few drinks at the Leaky Cauldron and head home. It was rare that nights before work he'd actually go out and party because he'd done it before and being hungover before and during work wasn't fun. The weekends were reserved for such behavior and he was already anxious for Friday to come around once more.

"Oh hey, sorry," Eddie said as he bumped into someone who appeared to be a little shorter than himself. He blamed that for the fact that he didn't see the person as he was making his way out. He hadn't been walking fast enough to really knock them over though, but he still backed up slightly to apologize because it was only polite, after all. He held the door open wider for the person to enter while he finally focused on who it was. Well, he wasn't sure exactly but she was pretty familiar.

"Do I know you?" he asked quickly, almost immediately after apologizing.

Who: Draco Malfoy and Astoria Greengrass.
What: Sharing a surprise run-in at a family wedding.
When: Thursday, January 17, 2003.
Where: Pitzhanger Manor; Walpole Park, Ealing, London.
Rating: TBA.
Status: In progress.

Pitzhanger Manor’s wedding chapel was never anything short of exquisite; and today, if even possible, it looked all the more handsome. The chapel’s grandiose French inspired embellishments shone with twinkling faerie-lights, and its fifteenth century Gustavian ceilings were charmed into a gently sprinkling shower of red and pink rose petals. A large group of house-elves, dressed smartly in freshly starched pillowcases, were tending the hors d'ouevres table, and a small symphony of wind instruments could be heard, playing live, over the gentle chatter of the guests.

To be quite frank, Draco didn’t think he’d ever seen such a lewd display of romanticism – wedding, or otherwise.

Never ones to be outdone, the Greengrass’ had, mere moments ago, added a new member to their family. Gérard Greengrass, an older gentleman that Draco was not yet acquainted with, had previously been courting a petite Spanish witch that was nearly fifteen years his junior. It had caused quite the scandal (or so he had heard from his ever-knowledgeable Mother), but now, after the pair had entered a state of matrimony, all was seemingly forgotten.

Swishing his drink in its cup, Draco made his excuses, and parted from his party. Mindless chatter had never been one of his favourite pastimes, and as he was no longer interested in hearing about the Happy Couple’s honeymooning plans, he was endlessly grateful to be free of their company.

Moving outside, to the Manor’s lawn, Draco drew in a deep breath of the evening air; and shucking his hands into his trouser pockets, he glanced around him. Few others had seemed to travel outdoors, yet.

Catching a fleeting glimpse of a stunningly pale hair, not unlike that of his own, Draco spotted and instantly recognized Daphne’s little sister, Astoria, as she approached the wishing fountain, next to which Draco, together with a couple others, now stood. Scarcely believing this was the same knobby-kneed, cheeky creature that he had once know, years ago, Draco bit his lip, to keep from smiling, as she passed.

Tracey was proud to admit that she'd gotten used to the whole 'working' thing. It felt oddly fulfilling to be self reliant and independent. She wouldn't have dreamed of that in school but when she finally got out of Hogwarts, she realized that things changed. She hadn't been living on her own for horribly too long, but she was enjoying the freedom. She hadn't been exactly held prisoner at her parent's, but even after she completed school, they still treated her like a child. She had a long talk with them about moving out and in the end they accepted, even if they still clearly were not happy about that situation at all. She knew they were making bets as to when she'd be back, but she hoped she never gave them that satisfaction. Her job at the apothecary wasn't extremely luxurious, but it paid the rent and the hours weren't at all bad. She occasionally had to close late at night but she normally got the opening shift. At first she'd been embarrassed when someone she knew came in but she grew to like the job and as usual, only cared what certain people thought. She was still Tracey Davis, after all.

By the end of her shift, she was ready to leave. She'd been feeling restless ever since she came in and had to suffer through the boring work day. Weekdays were slow and there was never much to do there besides tell people where a certain ingredient was, or to ring them out. After the replacement came in, she said goodbye and left as soon as possible, knowing that she needed to go home and shower and change before attempting to make proper dinner plans. She lived in London, close to the Leaky Cauldron entrance so she decided to walk to blow off some steam. It wasn't long before she realized that she was walking behind an old housemate. It'd been awhile since she'd seen Theodore Nott. He'd always been quiet in school and while they got on alright, she never really felt like she knew him.

Had she been the shy type, she wouldn't have said anything, but Tracey wasn't exactly shy. "Theodore," she said with a smile, taking a few steps quicker so that she would come up next to him as she greeted him. "It's been awhile. How are you?" she asked, being polite while hoping she wasn't bothering him, as she didn't exactly know him all that well aside from little things that everyone knew about him in school.
