I don't think people appreciate the gravity of the situation here.

We're facing the end of days and there is more talk about weddings that battle plans. Movies seem more important than patrolling.

I was encouraged to find more than the battle but if we don't make it a priority thee won't be any weddings, or movies, or popcorn. None of it matters.

I can't afford to waste my time any more. None of us can.

The one I love most died alone in the last battle, fighting to protect the complex and everyone in it from an onslaught of demons and monsters and fuck all knows what else. The only reason I was not fighting at his side when it happened is because I was teaching the new kids enough that they wouldn't get killed out of sheer ignorance. So no, they don't hold us back. They give us reason to fight even harder, to flatout fucking refuse to lose. But if we fight so long we lose sight of each other, we lose that.
