Bodilies is a host club in Tokyo, JP that caters to the extremely weathly, powerful, and depraved. A 'host club' (ホストクラブ) is a club where mainly female customers pay for male company, though some places, including Bodilies, cater to male clientele as well. Customers are typically wives of rich men or women working as hostesses in hostess clubs, or the rich men themselves. A host club is an expensive way to flirt; a night of non-sexual entertainment could cost $500 to $600. Hosts often range from ages 18 to their mid-20s. Typically they will chose a 'stage name' in order to hide their true identity, lest an over-zealous client stalks the host. Men who become hosts either cannot find a white-collar job, or are enticed by the prospect of high earnings through commission work. |

After World War II, the world was looking for a place to recover. Al Capone saw this retreat in a desert in the mid-30’s. Yes, Las Vegas was built on the Mafia’s dime. But a dime isn’t worth much these days. The Russian Mafya wanted a slice of the pie. After a long, bloody war, a truce was reached, they accepted their uneasy peace for years. Then the Triad moved into town. The Cosa Nostra would have nothing to do with them. The Mafya was not so selective and looked to the future, making a business deal with these new partners. It’s now 2009. A new brotherhood has set foot onto the desert. Their name are Yakuza. They are not willing to compromise or make deals, they’re playing for keeps. The thread that the tenuous piece has been kept by has frayed and no one will know what hit ‘em when it falls. Guess what, Vegas? It just snapped. |

| Cross Academy, a distinguished boarding school, is attended by two groups of students: the Day Class and the Night Class. At twilight, when the students of the Day Class return to their dorm, they cross paths with the Night Class on their way to school. The Night Class is an elite group of noble students. But the Day Class does not know the Night Class' dark secret: the Night Class is full of vampires and it is up to the Disciplinary Committee to make sure that the Day Class is protected from this secret. Cross Academy was created as part of a experiment to see if vampires could bear living with the humans they lived to hunt. The expansive campus accommodates high school and college students alike with two main buildings for classes, four dormitories, and a library on the far end of the campus. |

Be it dance, photography, instrumental, painting, acting or something else, this school offers everyone the chance to exceed in their talent. In the year 2008, a virus swept North America. Ever vigilant for a pandemic, citizens boarded up their windows, stockpiled their canned goods, and turned their neighbors in to the CDC. Short wave radios fell off the shelves, evacuation routes were prepared. Gas masks and specialty filtration systems were distributed. Pills were available for those showing early symptoms. Pills that did not work. That were later replaced with cyanide as their active ingredient. For those who were brave enough to put their fingers near a loved one's mouth. The United States, Canada, Mexico, the virus swept down into South America and festered in the heat of the jungle. In some places it burned out. Superstition ruled and saved lives. But nothing stopped the virus. Three months after the first diagnosed case of Currere Excessum was recorded, NATO approved Great Britain's use of nuclear force against the United States. It was assumed that all organic material would be reduced to ash under the impact. It was assumed that the Quarantine of the Americas would be temporary, at best. Any who survived the blast would be given the highest in humanitarian attention and medical care. The only American emissaries who knew of the plan lay incinerated in Washington. The Quarantine continued. The Americas lay abandoned. Empty. |

| concept The connection with magic has long been since a "new" concept. There was once a time when the world accepted magic, and the people who wielded it's power, embracing them completely. These unique individuals could raise the dead, create thunderstorms, even predict the future. But, as time went on and new concepts arose, what was once allowed and accepted ways of living life were now pressed to change. The way the old ways were viewed became twisted, turning what had been a part of life into unspeakable evil in the eyes of the world. Those who could aid with magic's power became the victims of various styles of execution and torture, before being sentenced to damnation. In the late 1400s, the fanatical attitude of the church took a turn for the worst. These acts were enough to shatter the willingness of those few families hiding in the hostile lands. To stay out of harm, they packed their things and left. Their destination? Across the Atlantic ocean. With teleporting help from the Conjurer family, they managed to settle down and live in peace for the better part of two hundred years. They were well liked by the local natives, bringing them what technological advances that Europe as well as the aid that their magical powers could bring, also enhancing the magical gifts the natives harnessed themselves. Among these primitive people, they were viewed as deities. It wasn't until the landing of the settlers that we have all been so familiarized to in our school text books, that the new ways and the old clashed again. The families were forced to blend back into society, resorting to hiding in plain sight. But in 1692, the Salem witch hunts began. A Puritan was unfortunate enough to catch a glimpse of a member of the Necromancer family, standing in the cemetery, well after the imposed curfew. All he could describe was the shape of a 'black man in the forest'. Thus, the trials began, after the simple minded zealots believed that the 'black man' had been the devil himself. The negative attitude drove a young female member of the Divination family to wish misfortune on the misguided families of Parris and Williams. Elizabeth and Abigail began having fits, yelling and screaming about things unseen. The result of this simple act of vengeance brought about the deaths of so many more. It was then that strict rules were placed upon the families. The elders of the magical families however, to prevent more confrontation, decided to move the families far west to a place called California, before the gold rush. Back to a place of peace and serenity, it would then be an additional hundred or so years before others came upon them, making running an option no longer. It was time to conform, to blend in with the ever spreading population of 'regular' people. Some of the families took to their own separate ways, moving off to different parts of the country, forming their own rules within their families, ignoring the code which had existed for more than half a good part of a thousand years.
