WHO: Abram and Cassidy
WHERE: Quarantine.
WHEN: [Flashback] June 6th, 2014, evening.
WHAT: Abram driving everyone in quarantine nutty - except Cassidy.
CHALLENGE: #1 - Scene you wanted to write but never got the chance to.
Quarantine was one of those things that hadn’t really been on Abrams agenda for the day, or really ever. But fate never really let you make those decisions yourself, did she? So here he sat on a bed that wasn’t his, surrounded by people he barely knew and all because he had been scratched by one of those empty-headed flesh eaters. After the initial shock had worn off over what had happened, Abram had slipped into a more jovial mood. If he was going to be stuck wondering if he’d live or not, he was going to enjoy every minute of it. Sadly his fellow quarantined companions were not all of that same mindset and didn’t seem to appreciate his chipper attitude while they were all counting down the hours until they either turned or were released. Abram had even received a death threat from the guy one room over. Which really, death threat? Wasn’t that just this side of pointless since they were all in here because they might die. Abram didn’t say anything in reply to the guy though, because who wanted to start a brawl in a situation like this? Instead he had gone in search of people who might enjoy his mood a little bit better. So far he hadn’t found any takers, but he was optimistic. If nothing else he thought one of the medical staff might at least humor him and keep him company while he laughed and smiled in a dire situation. Coming around the corner and entering a room with a couple of people sitting in it, Abram asked. “Anyone in here going to threaten to end me if I I’m not all doom and gloom about our situation?” Seemed like a fair question, would save him the trouble of getting comfortable if it turned out the inhabitants of this space were just as negative as the guy in the last room had been. |
