“Popular theory or not, I’m not buying into it.” Abram was of the opinion that it was going to take a lot more than some stupid virus to take him down. It might have been youthful arrogance, or it might have been stupidity to think that. He wasn’t about to go attempting to either, still, backing down from that idea wasn’t something he was going to do either. “Probably because you’re not used to a patient who isn’t all doom and gloom, so I’ll forgive you for throwing statistics at me.” This was said with a flash of a smile and his usual easy going charm.
Abram chuckled. “You always take everyone at their word?” He questioned. “Because that seems like a dangerous practice, even if it’s obvious they’re full of shit.” Abram was seriously hoping this woman didn’t trust a stranger’s word that easy. “Some guys just never learn.” Was his only remark before he offered his hand to the woman while saying. “Pleasure to meet you Cassidy, I’m Abram.”
“Big sisterhood would be one way to train that into a person, I suppose.” Not that he would have any clue about that one, what with being male, though he was an older brother so he did understand that part. “Probably not, but if you give up hope, well, you’re basically just asking for the grim reaper to come take you then and there.” Or at least that’s how he felt about it. “Damn, and here I thought I’d gotten better at being so transparent.” Abram chuckled. “It’s not, can’t help it if I was blessed with good genetics.” Though he could probably rein in his flirting ways a bit. But he didn’t necessarily want to. “Tight spots are just the curse of being irresistible,” he commented. “No handbook, just facts, darling.” So what if he played up his drawl a little bit on that last part. Just because she wasn’t interested in him, didn’t mean he was going to turn off his charm and treat her like one of the guys. “You should ask my dad, I don’t listen to anyone’s advice, especially not some book’s advice.” His grin was wide and his eyes were dancing with amusement as he spoke. Abram had definitely found a winner in this woman, she was taking him in stride and letting him be as cheery as he wanted to be.
Sitting up straighter in his chair, he flashed a toothy grin while nodding. “Ding, ding, ding. Give the woman a prize,” Abram answered. “The boots generally give me away, but the confidence is a close second.”
