Leaning forward to rest his elbows on his knees, Abram dropped his voice as if he were giving away some kind of secret. "Hate to tell you this, but your cousin sounds kind of scary," except not really. He was smiling, so it was obvious that the whole thing was just a joke. "Promise I don't go riling her up, I like to keep my head attached to my body." And it just wasn't in his nature to be that kind of pest, at least not on purpose. Shifting, Abram moved to put his heels up on the table, legs crossed and looking downright comfortable that way. "Now tell me, where would I go finding cowboy boots on this island? Cross my heart they're mine."
The conversation shifted to talking about the medic's sister and he found himself nodding in understanding. Back home Jenny was his partner in crime, so he got that. "I like your outlook on things, no question whether or not we're all going to make it out of here non-zombified."
Chuckling at the image of a chaotic and dramatic Thanksgiving, Abram was trying hard as hell not to think about the fact that Thanksgiving - like most holidays - was always kind of tense in the Dahl household. Apparently that's what happens when you go against his father's wishes. "Pretty sure I'll know if I've found the love of my life." He hadn't stumble upon a woman that could hold his attention for that long, but that didn't mean it wasn't going to happen.
"With a lot of hard work, sweat, broken bones and blood," Abram answered, only half kidding. "In some ways, yeah. Grew up going to rodeos and thought it looked like fun." Wasn't a whole lot of thought behind his decision. He liked the challenge and the rush. "Kinda," Abram answered. "Some of us'll wear helmets when riding the bulls, and protective vests." Too many close calls had caused Abram to swap out his hat for a helmet - mostly because he liked his brain right where it was. "That's a crying shame, really. Everyone should have a cowboy in their life." Said with a wide, slightly cocky grin. "Now see don't go spreading around the unicorn idea, I've got a tough reputation to maintain."
