"He probably does. It seems to be a pretty popular theory right now, but you're not all going to die in here. That's just not statistically possible. Most of the injuries we quarantined didn't really have anything to do with the infected." She paused, then let her smile shift to almost apologetic. "And I don't know why I'm pointing this out to the only patient who doesn't seem to need it pointed out."
"I'd find it very doubtful, but if you want to go with that I don't have any reason to think you're a liar." Cassidy liked him all the better for going with the joke honestly. "See, I've been trying to explain that to guys since high school, that girls have and will always just be more appealing." Acknowledgement and acceptance in one easy sentence - it should always be that easy. "I'm Cassidy, by the way."
"I have my moments. Comes from being a big sister." Lifting both her shoulders just slightly. "Probably won't get that lucky, but we can always hope." It'd be a nice change of pace, at least. "See through as a window," she agreed with an amused smile. "Oh yeah, I can see how that's not your fault at all." But Cassidy was definitely more amused than anything at this point, largely because he reminded her of Ross. "Oh no, not even close. My partner back home's a pretty boy like you, always getting himself into a tight spot too." Said with affection. "Swears it's not his fault girls like to fall all over him either, which makes me wonder if there isn't some kind of handbook feeding you guys these lines." Said with a pointed look. "It's horrible advice if it is, by the way. Makes you both sound cocky." But her grin just went wider, since it wasn't like she actually had room to judge either of them for their level of confidence.
Leaning back slightly to get a good look at him. "So are you a genuine cowboy then? That where you're finding all this confidence of yours?"
