Lifting the finger in question, she gave it a little bend almost like she was waving it at him. "You know, I didn't even notice at first that I'd done it. I was too busy trying to keep the guy from freaking out about being strapped to a back board to realize I'd snapped it until I went to pick up my kit and it wouldn't bend." This time he was safe from being swatted, but mostly because she was too chipper to have found someone in a cheerful mood to pass some time with.
"I plead the fifth, I don't have to incriminate myself." But now the laughter is definitely barely contained and it's perfectly clear that she has in fact abused the ability at some (multiple) point in her life.
Old fashioned maybe, but truthfully she chalked the movement up to him simply not wanting to stick around in the space with the grumbling grumps once she left. "An excellent point. I might see what she's doing when I finish up and bring her your way in a little bit here." It'd be good for the two of them to have someone else to talk to, it'd make her feel better for the times she wasn't around - even if that was rare.
