Fire Night Event Pt2; The Magical Gift
Almost the second the dawn began to rise, coming in over the horizon with that same magical glow as the night before when the sun set, there was a ripple in the air. This ripple felt more than a strange push in the wind or a tremor in the earth. It was stronger, faster, like a wave radiating out from the forest, and while it could not push a person down it was easily felt in the physical body. In it's wake came a soft shimmer, a sparkle that faded slowly into nothing, but magic was left in it's place. The land would prosper, crops for the year would grow steady and well.
Yet in the residuals of the magical ripple also came a new gift for the land, or for the people that is. With so much excess magic to dispel, no far and wide farms and plantations to empower for the season as it would have back home, the magic found new places to reside. Residents of the island would find that from this dawn ripple until the midnight hour of this same day they would be gifted with a singular new power. Like the fae, they would have a specialization, one spell or ability that they were certainly best at. Of course not all fae were truly gifted or good at what they did. In fact, some were quite bad! And so for the hours of the day the residents would be so blessed to become alike with the fae...

OOC: As previously mentioned players may choose a gift for their character to have for the day of May 1st, from the dawn's magical wave until midnight when the spell will end and all characters will return to normal! Feel free to tag in or narrative here if you like, or just drop a note with your power if you so wish. I should note that characters of an already magical nature may not receive and/or notice a change. That is your call, but for those such as, say, Luna, she is already endowed with most of these magical gifts and perhaps would instead feel stronger in magic than receiving something new! And perhaps maybe those that, say, use a foci or wand for their magic might find them to be able to perform a particular spell without?
It's up to you how you wish to participate!
