A gift is left at Rhonda's home early in the morning. There came a knock at the door, but none was to be seen but a small oddly (and badly) wrapped parcel on the ground. The paper was bland and wrapped with a hemp cord that is tied in the neatest bow possible--which clearly is not Nike's strongest skill despite his other craftsman talents. Inside the package, however, is the important part. A gift for mother (or father!) and baby.

The gift is a long baby wrap to hold the child to the parent's chest. It seems to be somewhat old and made of a very soft, if not worn away to be soft, material. Brown in color, there is a stitching on it that reads "Centus," who while generally unknown to the people of the island, was Nikephoros' father. Perhaps this was his baby wrap from when he was small so many years ago.

A note reads in Nike's best English--which is really very poor--the following:

"I have missed you, mama. I am not seeing you because of baby. I am happy. It is not blood sister but is heart sister. Rest well and enjoy growing. I do not wish it ending for you. -Nikephoros"

It is very likely he had help writing, as his spelling was quite good, though the letters were awkward and misshapen at best.

With a sigh, Mikhail looked down at his little almost three-year-old daughter, her thin brown hair tied up in two pig-tails which were clearly the work of an untrained man. Still, she was quite cute in her pink sweater and purple pants, yellow winter coat unzipped. She wiggled in her seat beside her father as he typed on the laptop they had come across, looking for answers. Some women had told him of a door but the doors did not sound so promising. A map could not track them. There was no "current location" to be found. No signs on the building. No address with a city or country.

Mikhail sighed a second time and shook his head, setting the computer aside for now. With a soft grunt he pulled Ilyana onto his lap. "We may be here a while," he said to the little girl in a very thick Russian. "But, it looks like a nice place, so do not worry very much." While Ilyana understood her father, for she was growing quickly everyday, the three-year-old only nodded and pat the stubble on her father's face.
