Heroes of the H-Mansion (2 of 10)

A webcomic done by Gurihiru, a Japanese artist team best known for their work on POWER PACK, it's a very irreverent take on the Marvel Universe, if the characters all lived in the same apartment building.

In this second part, the cast gets twice as big and 5000x cuter.

Click the tags if you missed the first part.

Translation notes and short bios for new characters at my blog.

Usually not fan of those things, but after reading that I can't stop laughing.
The pig rain is priceless, too.

Today's weather in Wakanda will be slightly cloudy with a chance of rain BECAUSE I DEEM IT SO.

Best meteorologist ever.

"Oh god, NEVER drinking again..." brilliant XD

I'm loving the personal touches you're giving this as well. The snikt sound effect for his claws and of course "bub bub bub"

Eeee! I like Storm's little earrings.

Quick note--tarry means dilly-dally, or taking your time.

Crap!

It's been a while since I read any Shakespeare, you can probably tell. Used it in the exact opposite way I wanted to ...

Thanks for the correction, really appreciate it. I'll see if I can change it stealthily.

'tarry not' would be typical phrasing for what you were going for.

"Sunny with a side of pork" - hee hee!
Why is it 'H-Mansion', by the way? What's the H stand for?

Hero.

I cut it to H because the word "hero" already appears in the title, and to go with "X-Mansion". Also because it's one of the most notorious Roman letters to the Japanese.

Why's that? Does it have a bad reputation or something?

The word for perverted, "ecchi", is pronounced the same way.

Kinda childish, so I thought it fit.

It's not so much pronounced the same way as it is the same thing, isn't it?

I'd understood that "hentai" had gotten abbreviated as "H," somewhere in the otaku culture (either the Japanese or English-speaking side of things), and that "ecchi" was just there as a pronunciation of "H."

That's very possible. My knowledge of the etymology has peaked here.
