More Neill Cameron: Hashtag funnies
Artist Neill Cameron (whom some or all of you may remember from the fantastic A-Z of Awesomeness) has a new project called Hashtag Funnies going.

In his own words: "Every day I draw a comic strip based on / inspired by / tangentially related to one of that day's trending topics on Twitter. ... I just thought this would be a fun way to do something that I've been meaning to do for a while, which is to draw some comics strips, for fun. ... I may or may not have any idea what the hashtag / trending topic is actually the hell about. I just thought it would be, y'know, a fun thing."

I thought I'd share the first one, which I figure will amuse the scans_daily community quite a bit:

Mods: does this count as a scan (because it's a webcomic?) or do I have to provide something for legality?

Also, could one of the tag wranglers or whoever's responsible for this sort of thing please change the tag for the artist's name? It's "Neill" Cameron, not "Neil". Thank you, [info]icon_uk.

A-Z of Awesomeness with Neil Cameron
I believe the following may be relevant to this community's interests, oh yes.

Comic artist Neil Cameron recently announced his intention to do one drawing a day for a month that was simply fun and awesome. He's going about it alphabetically and, so far, the results are simply...well, awesome.

Don't believe me? Click below.

Many others are up at Neil's blog.

For legality, Proof deals with a sneering villain in a viscerally satisfying manner...

The villain in question was a Very Bad Man who had been torturing and killing brontosaurs. He totally had it coming.

Proof is a fabulous book, and the trades are well worth checking out. The current arc, "Julia", has managed to break my heart on an average of twice an issue for the past four installments.
