Golden Age Wonder Woman These are from Sensation #13. Just two images.
Also: a couple of weeks ago, someone commented saying that in Europe, only serious comic book nerds have ever even heard of Wonder Woman. This led to a spirited debate, and someone (was it you, bluefall?) posted a few photos of non-nerd Europeans wearing costumes obviously based on the Amazing Amazon's.
Well, over the weekend, I was watching the British TV show Hustle. A British show, made by and for Brits. It's never even been aired over here, but you can rent it via Netflix, and I highly recommend it. Anyway, during one of the second season episodes, there's a brief scene where one character dresses in a costume that's just different enough from Wonder Woman to avoid copyright infringement. But it's obviously her. She's even deflecting bullets with her bracelets.

The Reformation of Paula von Gunther These are from Wonder Woman #3, 1943. This is when the reformation of Baroness Paula von Gunther begins. I suspect Marston just decided on the spur of the moment to reform her, because the motivation he gives her seems totally unconvincing in light of everything she's done up till now.

Golden Age Wonder Woman These are from Sensation Comics #14, 1943. I'm not at home so I can't look it up, but I think this is one of the issues drawn by Frank Godwin.

Golden Age Wonder Woman crack These are from Wonder Woman #4, 1943. Paula von Gunther and other inmates of Reformation Island must pass various tests to prove that they have reformed and are ready to leave the island and serve Aphrodite. Marston really seemed to like these contests. And they always seemed to involve girls getting tied up - BDSM as competitive sport.

Golden Age Wonder Woman Bondage Seance Crack This is one of my favorite WW stories ever. It was in the collection I got when I was 8 and read about a hundred thousand times. It's the first appearance of Dr. Psycho, and features two of Marston's obsessions: the occult and bondage. This was originally published in Wonder Woman #5 in the summer of 1943.

Golden Age Wonder Woman This one was published in 1946. I gather that the issue had multiple stories about Lana, whose mental turmoil about her relationship with her no-good boyfriend Carl Ambishun AKA Silas Sneek had the side effect of taking her and the Holliday girls to other time periods, where they would temporarily forget that they hadn't been born in ancient Greece or wherever and behave as if they belonged there. Since Lana said "Oh, my formula", I'm assuming she made some kind of chemical thingie that she drank that gave her this ability. I really, really want to see how this concept was introduced. But all my collection includes is the last of the stories about Lana.
