Golden Age Wonder Woman
This story was published in 1948.



The Holliday girls are ready for adventure as usual:


Dig the glowing picture of her up top. You know, this entire story takes place at night, which gave it a special feel, that sort of invigorating staying-up-late sensation.

Anyway, the intrepid Holliday girls are doing the Nancy Drew thing.

This was one of my favorite stories when I was little, probably because of the high melodrama:

And, of course, the bondage.


The continuity in this panel broke my youthful brain. It looks like she used superstrength to leap out of the cement and then held up her bracelets for Steve to shoot the chain. And how did she loosen her lasso during the leap?
