Lyric, California isn't a town that much different from any other. It's got nice weather, a college, some high schools with bitter rivalries... And a population entirely made up of the real-life incarnations of songs. The city of New Orleans has always had a reputation for being a home for the supernatural. Something about the oppressive summer days, the balmy bayou nights and the drowsy scent of magnolia blossoms has just always lent itself to the type of mystique that gets folks talking. But it ain't always just talk.
In the wake of a catastrophic storm and the almost mass exodus of a good portion of its residents, New Orleans has developed a reputation as being a safe place for vampires, werewolves and other supernatural creatures to live safely. For the most part, there is an air of celebration that the centuries-kept secret is out and the vampires and werewolves have begun to truly integrate into the society. The humans who still reside in the city all seem to have reconciled the fact that they have been left to rebuild, and not alone, whether or not they like it.

There are whispers through the south that something epochal is going on. The newborns of Seattle were nothing compared to what's been rumored to be happening this time. Talk of a group of immortal children being created and of Maria, the woman who managed to escape the Volturi's punishment for her participation in the Vampire Wars of the South. She's been quietly biding her time in Mexico, slowly gathering up an army of her own, one that rivals and surpasses the Guard. She's found herself at the head of a cult like following of Vampires that have each been scorned by the Volturi Royalty themselves. Joined by the Romanian's who have long since been awaiting the moment for Volterra to be overthrown, this group of Vampire's are looking for a fight.
The Volturi itself faces complications of their own, and what will happen when their loyalty to each other is tested? What will become of the men that have kept order amongst the Vampire world for over a thousand years when the guard that they count on leaves their post? Who will they turn to to keep their numbers strong and present a united front?
time_between is a post Eclipse, complaint game, focusing on writing an alternate ending to the events that happened after the third novel in Stephanie Meyer's saga Twilight.
Open as of April 1st with a ton of interaction already in play!
Currently casting: Alec and Demitri of the Volturi, Liam of the Irish Coven, Carmen and Eleazar of the Denali Coven, Sam Uley, Embry Call and Quil Ateara, Charlie Swan, Sue Clearwater, Humans, and Nomads, particularly Peter!
A stable core of players have dedicated themselves to making this an active, exciting game with a lot of plot for all characters, and not just certain groups of species. Ages 18+ |

Welcome to Reading. It's a place where the sun is always shining, and people always have a place to be. Where people dress up to leave the house, and always have something interesting to talk about. Where nursery rhymes aren't just in books, it's where they are alive. It's where you can find Humpty Dumpty sitting on a wall, and an old lady who lives in a shoe. If one could step into the world of fiction, you'd find yourself in Reading. Life here can be magical and terrible all at once. Reality in Reading is not always realistic. And things are not always as they seem.
Underneath the sunny exterior lies a much darker Reading. The only thing bigger than the rhymes themselves, are the crimes that seem to surround them.

On May 1st, 2009, nation leaders spoke together to reveal a truth to the world: the supernatural world is real. Vampires, werewolves, and more exist. They have been known to the government for a long time, and now they are coming out of the shadows - and they come with a message. They are not a threat. They mean no danger to humans. But there are other things out there that do.
The days that followed changed everything most people believed they knew about the world, about history, and most importantly, about themselves. Celebrities, politicians, the family down the street - they began revealing their true identities, and telling the world what they really were. Missing people that had been turned against their will came out of hiding, and orginizations popped up to reunite them with their families. The revealing of the supernatural was penned in the media as the Light of May, as society made room for the supernatural.
It wasn't easy. Many, human and supernatural alike, were terrified of what this would mean. Some wanted to keep the supernatural abominations down. Leading figures of both Democratic and Republican parties were revealed to be supernaturals themselves, and joined together to fight for civil rights for the supernatural. It is revealed that if the supernatural were wiped out, half of the entire world's population would be gone. Independent parties popped up through-out the country, opposing supernatural rights, and the fight goes on. But those aren't the only battles being fought.
Why did the Light of May happen? If the supernatural has always existed, why are they only making themselves known now? For centuries, those with supernatural blood have been hunted, held, and killed - all for the benefits of their blood to hunters, and vampires who don't want to play by the rules of etiquette. There was a time when the angels, and even the fae, fought to protect them. But the fae have been extinct for hundreds of years, and worse - the angels seem to have disappeared. There is nothing fighting the demons of the world at bay now. The human race is at risk, and they are not alone.
 The Light of May is an original supernatural game, taking place in a time when the world is adjusting to the world that has been hidden since the beginning of time. The game is set in Ann Arbor, Michigan, centered around a fictional township called Scarlet Oak. Characters of many races are up for play, as are those trusty humans. The Light of May will be focusing on characters adjustments and the eventual struggle against demons, hunters, and more. The Light of May is for original characters only. The houses built a divide that at times just could not be breeched. So it was with the Governors of the school honored Hogwarts' 1400th Anniversary of teaching students with a Tournament the likes the school had not seen since the Triwizard decades before. A champion would be picked, one from each house. There was a catch though none of the students would know until after the first trial. It would be a partnered competition and the stakes would be high and dangerous.
