Part one of twoHe was curled up in the corner of his couch as he sat. For once, Graham was not reading despite the stack of books that teetered next to the sofa, threatening to collapse with a slight touch. Instead, he was staring into the distance, his mind considering everything that Seren had said, and Trout, and trying to find the place between where he could make his fear and his wishes mesh, or if such a thing was even possible.
His head rested against his arms as he leaned forward. Seren had said that she'd accepted the position after speaking to MacFadden and not before. It surprised him that she believed in his promises, regardless. Had she not chosen the offer, MacFadden could have simply Obliviated her silly. It was easy to agree to a thing when you had the potential to undo it whenever you chose. It was one of the reasons, Pritchard thought to himself, that they'd declared the Obliviation Charm an unforgivable in other parts of the world. There were some things that particular cultures could not agree with.
