Another sprig of mistletoe came smashing down as a rock hurtled over the office door, hurled by a slingshot buried by the stubby fingers of Dudley Dursley, one of the newer additions to the staff. He hated the holidays. It made him think of blood pudding and watery eggnog and slobbering kisses and mistletoe was emblematic of all of those things. Therefore, he reasoned, taking it all out of commission was better for all concerned.
Not to mention, who knew what you might be asked to kiss in this joint?
As if in response to unspoken thought, a dog- no, a beast- came bounding through a doorway. With a sudden movement, he began to aim the slingshot, digging in his back pocket for another rock.
