Exploring New Troy. (Eric)

Cordelia was restless. Not only had she not left die Festung since she'd first arrived, she'd barely left the apartment complex. She refused to go back to being the scared little girl who ran every time things got a little scary. She was trapped in a new world, and while she was glad that Fred was there, she had the impression that there was a lot the other woman wasn't telling her. And she was off somewhere at the moment, probably with Sam. And Cordelia wasn't the type of woman to wait around for someone else to come to her rescue. At least not anymore.

She'd managed to make her way out of the safe haven, curious to see what New Troy was like. By the time she walked all the way there, her feet were killing her. She was going to have to find more comfortable shoes, and soon.

She paused just outside the gates, looking around warily, and wishing she'd brought something better than the machete that Faith had given her when she'd first shown up there. Idly, she wondered what the other slayer was up to, since she hadn't seen her since that first day. She made a mental note to ask Fred if she knew anything about Faith's whereabouts.

And then something hit her foot.

Cordelia looked down to see a large toad on her shoe and she made a startled noise, quickly shaking it off and watching as it hopped away.

And then another toad fell at her feet. And another after that.

And then a snake.

At which point, Cordelia shrieked loudly and took off running as she started getting pelted by reptiles from the sky.

Time for a little girl talk? (Cordelia with a Sammy cameo!)

Fred giggled as she kissed Sam. She knew he'd have to leave eventually, but she wasn't being very helpful. They were at least dressed after breaking in the new-to-Fred(-and-Sam) bed. Actually they probably made very good use of the new place, but not so loudly that people might complain. Hopefully, anyway.

They'd had breakfast, and Fred knew she'd have to look at some of the cooling systems. She'd get to them. She had given her word about it. Sam was trying to be helpful. He'd been returning the kisses that she'd been giving, and possibly throwing a few of his own. They'd made it to the door, and he was actually standing outside the apartment, somewhat.

"We could wait just a little longer." She had managed to get dressed herself. She smiled up at him, her fingers playing with the bottom of his shirt. She hadn't been so very open with Charles, possibly. People didn't seem willing to see Fred in this way perhaps. She had been somewhat reserved with him, only somewhat.

"Oh! Don't forget! I want you to meet Cordy! I don't know when would be a good time, but you have to meet her. She lives right there." The brainy Texan motioned to her friend's door. "I'd go knock on her door, but I don't want to wake her."

Riding Out (OPEN)

Dinah's dark roots had been showing for a few months now. Back in Gotham, she'd had a monthly appointment to keep up with the blonde hair. Here, that wasn't really a priority. So she finally gave in and cut her own hair. It was short, but it would grow out. At least she was back to her natural brunette and wouldn't have to worry about finding out if they even had salons here.

Cutting her own hair was somewhat therapeutic, but really she just needed to get outside the city walls. She was now stuck in here with a version of her ex-husband that wasn't her ex-husband, with someone who she'd felt a connection with but who didn't seem to care all that much (and who most likely thought she was sleeping with Bruce) and with two versions of men who were supposed to be her friends and teammates but were from different realities as well.

What she really needed was a good solid fight. Preferably with someone or something that would give her a run for her money. She felt like she hadn't been doing much lately and she needed something that reminded her of her old life. She hadn't felt much like the Black Canary during her time here and without the Black Canary, she didn't really know who 'Dinah' was either. In her mind, the inherited superhero mantle was who she was.

She'd managed to convince Belia to let her use one of the modified four wheelers in the garage, and she'd ridden out in search of... anyone in need of help, she supposed.

She needed that. Needed to help someone. Needed to do something.

Deja Vu. (OTA who might be out in the wild...)

She was fairly certain that she'd already deja'd this vu.

And not even that long ago. And just like that time, she found herself standing in the middle of a wooded area. Great. She wasn't sure if she should hope she was back in Pylea again, or hope she'd somehow managed to sleepwalk her way into a taxi cab that dropped her off at the woods, because neither one of those things was good. And it was dark out. Which meant vampires could be roaming around freely and she didn't even have a stake.

"I don't remember seeing any portals," she mumbled, her heart beating quickly against her chest. She glanced around in the dark, trying to decide which way to start walking and trying to convince herself not to panic. Because panicking was not going to help. When she'd first arrived in Pylea, she'd freaked out, and almost instantly been attacked by...well, more like tackled and licked by the Pylean version of a dog. But at least it hadn't tried to eat her, so bonus points for that. Of course then she'd been forced into slavery...

Taking a deep breath, she decided on one direction and headed that way, unable to shake the unease that had settled upon her.
