The crimerate was rising. Ever since the bombing there were break-ins and it was impossible to go one night without seeing one. What was this? Gotham?!

Barbara tightened the restraints around the three young men she'd tied to the lightpole. "When are you going to learn?" she murmured, before pinning a note on it and triggering the silent alarm in the shop they'd been trying to loot Televisions from. "This sort of thing only gets you in trouble" she frowned down at them, before shooting a D-cell and swinging away. The kids hadn't been more than seventeen - they'd get a couple of months in juvie hall followed by probation. They'd have to keep their noses clean.

She shook her head, watching from a ledge about three stories above the sidewalk as the police finally arrived. It was then that she moved on, her cape flowing out behind her as she shot out another D-cell line. This really was freedom. As close to flying as she got... flying herself not in an airplane. After all she wasn't Superman...

San and Dean had discussed research and since that had always been Sam's forte, he's volunteered, as he did 99% of the time to start researching. There was no more than ever going on and he was the type to want to get to the bottom of things. To puzzle them out and find their answer. That had been one of the things he's loved about college. Stanford had been a way for him to really dig into research and figuring out problems, hell they encouraged it.

After Dean had died, he's sort of taken a different approach to things. A more "Dean-like" way of doing things. Shoot first ask questions later type of attitude. He felt like he'd had to adopt that way of life because if he let his head get in the way and mess with him, he was so totally fucked.

But here, away from Lilith and Ruby, Sam felt just a little bit like his old self again and he was actually looking forward to going to the library and seeing what he could find. His lap top, secure in his brown leather satchel, he walked up the front steps and into the building, inhaling deeply. There was just something about the smell of books that Sam loved. It was comforting.

Where: Barbara's apartment
Why: Because - Babs has to go on patrol about 4 AM and she has some time.!

She was working in the kitchenette. It was late but she'd had a late night at the library. True that the term 'late night' and 'library' didn't really make sense, but she'd spent hours trying to track down the delivery of the latest package. And that was the weird thing. She'd found it and yet she hadn't. At least teh conversation with Dean had taken her mind off of it.

She'd left the door open - knowing that if he ever actually got his clothes on he'd be coming over (at least he would if he wanted beer and coffee. She had her hair pulled back in a clip - a few strands of course escaped (it wasn't a perfect system).

She sturred the noodles - her IPod earpods in her ears - a song from a local Gotham Band. They were almost ready. She danced along to the music as she got everything ready!
