Okay so I have gone with trying to start up the gpsl again.

I'm actually fairly new to this kind of thing, so I do have a few questions.

Can anyone help me find the html (or whatever is needed) to create a friends button? Is it at ~rp_tutorials or somewhere else?

I want to use a layout from ~coding, but I have no idea where to actually go to put it. Can anyone help with the appropriate FAQ or some advice?

I'm sorry to be so clueless, but I can get to A, just not always B. I also feel the only actually stupid question is the one you don't ask.

I have a problem I'd like some advice on.

I was setting up a gpsl. Unfortunately, just before it was due to open, I got sick. The game was the last thing on my mind at the time, and I've only just felt up to coming back online. I would still like to make it happen, but I don't know if people will be put off by the game not opening when I said it would.

Hunger Games...

I'm thinking of starting a Hunger Games RPG. I'm in the market for a co-mod/co-conspirator. My husband and I were going to try and do it ourselves, but between work and our little one, we thought a third person would be for the best. The information is in this journal for anyone who is curious. It isn't finished completely.

Not exactly the proper, 'I have a game but can't run it', more just a small idea. Would anyone be willing to open a future bases Charmed game? Based around the idea of the reincarnated sisters and other characters.

Seeking advice.

A friend and I are trying to get a community off the ground. It's a celeb game, adult themed but not entirely smut, for a niche area of celebrities rather than an "anything goes" type of community. We have advertised it a few places, but don't seem to be able to find the people who would be interested. Any advice on where to advertise/how to find the people we are looking for?

Hello! I'm looking for a co-mod. (Or two!) Someone to bounce ideas off of, someone to help maintain the game... etc. The mod journal is pretty set up at the moment, so please feel free to have a look and come at me with ideas! You can contact me at the drop box.

I would love further ideas, but I would like this game to be set in a small town. At the moment, I have a basic setting in mind and not much else. I plan on being very hands-on and available and active so I'd like for you to be as well! (Glance at the rules section, for example.)

Thanks for your interest! I'm really excited to get this up and running.

I'm in need of a co-mod as my last had to back out due to life issues which I totally understand. Hitched Mod is a next gen HP game based off the premise that their parents took part in the Marriage Reformation Program which matched Death Eater with Order members or other members of society that were in good standing. I have how the program works outlined in a screened post if you would like to see more.

What I need help with is, well, everything. I need someone who I can bounce ideas off and that can help me with coding and give me some feedback on the game as well.

Best way to get a hold of me atm is through comments.

Would anyone be interested in joining or helping me co-mod a second generation multi-fandom game? I would need help fleshing out the concept but I'm thinking a boarding school. I am open to other ideas if anyone has any. I'm pretty good with plots but would need help with coding and making graphics/ads. Anyone interested?

teen wolf slash au?

I'm trying to get a Teen Wolf slash AU game up and running, and I'd love a co-mod to help me out with things. I've never really ran a game before, so I guess you could say I need all the help I can get.

Basically, instead of Beacon Hills High School being a public school, it's a boarding school for boys. That's pretty much the only AU part. Well, that and the slash.

The game is going to be about 50% action-y werewolf / other supernatural plot and 50% character building and relationship drama.

What I have so far is at [info]bhbs_dean.

To move or not to move?

I'm a co-mod of a long-running (extremely long running - we're in our 10th year!) X-Men Movieverse game that is currently on Livejournal. Due to various reasons, we're discussing the possibility of moving the game to another journal platform, such as Dreamwidth. This would be a HUGE move on our part, and we're wanting to gather all the information we can before we look at an actual player vote.

So, dear fellow modlies, those of you who have migrated a game from LJ to another system, how was it? Good and bad points, please. Did you lose players? Gain players? Was it worth the hassle or did the game die as a result of the upheaval?

(for reference, while we're a small game in terms of players [39 players with 67 characters], but we have a huge amount of prior history and associated links and journals ([the wiki might give you an idea]. Such a move would be a lot of work for us and we want to be sure it's worth it.)

Looking for co-mods!

Hey there!

I'm Crystal, and I'm looking for help with setting up and running an HP next-gen game in which students are temporarily re-sorted into another house in the name of house unity, forcing students to share dorms and common rooms with students outside of their old house.

I need two mods, a general mod and a plot mod. Both would help me with setting the game up and we'll all bounce ideas off of each other, but there are more specific jobs for each:

The general mod will be doing the same things I will- reviewing apps, updating lists, managing holds, etc. Basic mod stuff.

The plot mod won't be required to help with the general running of the game once we've got it together, but instead will be in charge of gamewide plot, both day-to-day plot as well as major events.

Previous modding experience isn't a requirement, but is a big plus, as are graphics and coding skills.

If anyone's interested in either modding position or has any questions about it, you can reply here or email me at themiserychick123@gmail.com

Any Bleach fans out there?

I've been toying with the idea of creating a game, but am not quite sure which direction I'd want to take it. I've got a few ideas, but I do know that I want the Bleach world heavily involved with it. Players would not have to be familiar with Bleach really, just be able to understand the concept of the very creative world that we are left with from both the anime and the manga. I've been thinking about the possibilities of making it something of a panfandom game, as well, so if anyone is interested or has ideas along this line, please comment here! I'd be looking for someone to co-mod with me :)

Aching for a co-mod

I'm looking to start up a game but dying for a co-mod. I'm open to bouncing ideas around, but I've been fiddling around with the possibility of something with the Mayan Apocalypse but mixed with something supernatural. Instead of the end of the world, the Apocalypse dawns the end of an era and supernatural things start happening. If anyone is aching for a brand new game, message me here and I can give you more details :)

looking to enlist troops!

the game: A Jane Austen-centric universe (too narrow?) where all the characters are modern versions of Austen characters. Whether or not they live out their storylines "properly" is entirely up to the players!

the help: I mean, I'd love a co-mod-- just having someone else around to throw ideas off of is invaluable in moderating games. But for the time being I'd be happy with a few extra pairs of hands to help with fluffing the place up-- some light coding, a lot of worldbuilding, that sort of thing.

If anyone is interested in helping, please drop me a line! Or if you're just interested in coming to play once things get off the ground. Or if you have thoughts/critiques about the premise/the very limited anything that's up in the journal right now. Your help and your feedback would be well-loved!

Game Success?

I have been trying for the past year or so to come up with a panfandom game that will actually last, or even gain enough characters to start in the first place for that matter.

I've played in games that were already established and active, and while they were fun, they only gave me ideas of games I would like to start. I don't think I'm doing anything differently, and I try to make the premise and design of the mod journal as interesting as I can, but I still get only a few bites.

I'd like to give it another go, but I'd rather not go through all the work it takes to set something up if no one's going to give it a chance. It seems to me that it's hard for a person to start a game that lasts even if the premise is interesting.

My question is... How do I start a new game that will actually get off the ground if everyone is only looking for established games to play in? I'm open to any and all ideas you can help me with. Please help me. I have good ideas, I think, but they just never seem to work out....

Idea for a fantasy pan-fandom game:

Strangers show up in the Game of Thrones world (going off the show).

fandoms: Harry Potter, LOTR, The Mists of Avalon, etc

I really want to see this happen, but I don't have the time to make it!

Looking for a co-mod

In the spirit of Halloween I want to do either one of two things: a haunted town game based off an idea I did oh say six years ago with original characters or a Supernatural one based off an idea involving Azazel's other generations of kids with powers. So I'd definitely be in the market for a co-mod and someone I can throw ideas off of concerning either one. I'm not expecting an answer but here's to keeping my fingers crossed. <3

So I've been looking for a co-moderator for my game for a while. Like since I came up with the premise. Now I'm turning to you good people. The game has already been created (tideous work) and now I'm ready to open it. I just need someone to help me with it.

Job responsiblities that both of us would handle:

-Game Wide Plots
-Application reviewing
-Adding/removing players
-Activity checks

The Game is a post apocalyptic original character game that I absolutely loved coming up with. More information about it can be found here. If you're interested leave a comment in the drop box in the mod journal or this journal.

Thank you very much.

I am in need of opinions, and mod help with an awesome game I came up with. The basics are located @ [info]candleinsnow.

What I want to know is:

Should the game be on ij or should it be forum based? PUTTING IT ON IJ WINS!

Should we use pseudonyms to keep the game "anon" if it would promote less potential drama? What kinds of plot do you want to see (something WILL be happening with the muggles/muggleborns up in Scotland and Harry down in France EVENTUALLY)? Should I add more people? Etc.

What other input do you have to give?

Who wants to help me mod this? I'm looking for 2-3 more people! (I need a nit-picker, coding help never hurts, and help with activity checks.)

PPS: The 'taken' list is inaccurate right now cause some people bailed on me. So only look at the names and such. Not the pbs/journals/etc. ALSO: It's NOT based on GoT. It was INSPIRED BY the first couple episodes. I worded that wrong.

PPPS: I'm removing the rules for now as they'll need to be re-worked.

COMMENTS SCREENED or feel free to aim me @ loveindecembersnow!

Fellow panfandom mods! I have some questions for you. I'm looking for general opinions about activity in a fast paced, plot heavy panfandom setting for a large game (35+ players, 200+ characters). What kind of rules regarding activity do you think are fair? How do you go about enforcing them? When a player is not up to that activity requirement, how do you handle it? Do you have rules about hiatuses? How do they come into play when it comes time to check up on activity? Any opinions or just sharing how you've handled activity checks successfully in the past would be helpful to me! I'm just wondering if the way I handle it at my game is the best way or if there are other ways out there that might be better for myself and my players.

Thanks!!!
